ਪਲਵਲ ਹਰਿਆਣਾ ਰਾਜ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਦੈਂਤ ਪਾਲਮਬਾਸੁਰ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇਸਨੂੰ ਪਾਲੰਬਰਪੁਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਸਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਬਦਲ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਲਵਲ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
ਤਿਰੂਚਿਰਾਪੱਲੀ
