2009 ਵਿੱਚ, ਸ਼ਾਹਰੁਖ ਖਾਨ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਸੋਲਰ ਪਾਵਰ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟ ਨੂੰ ਫੰਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਓਡੀਸ਼ਾ ਦੇ ਸੱਤ ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਦਦ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਭੀਤਰਕਨਿਕਾ ਪਾਰਕਲੈਂਡ ਖੇਤਰ ਦੇ 12 ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੋਦ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਇਕਲੌਤੀ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸੇ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਚੈਰਿਟੀ ਤੋਂ ਯੂਨੈਸਕੋ ਪਿਰਾਮਿਡ ਕੋਨ ਮਾਰਨੀ ਪੁਰਸਕਾਰ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹੈ।

ਸੁਪਰਸਟਾਰ ਮਹੇਸ਼ ਬਾਬੂ ਨੇ ਆਂਧਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਗੁੰਟੂਰ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਜੱਦੀ ਪਿੰਡ ਬੁਰੀਪਾਲੇਮ ਗੋਦ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਨਾ ਆਪਣੀ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਸ੍ਰੀਮਾਂਟੂਡੂ ਤੋਂ ਮਿਲੀ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸਨੇ ਪੇਂਡੂ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਭਲਾਈ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਪਿੰਡ ਗੋਦ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਰਬਪਤੀ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਈ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਤੇਲੰਗਾਨਾ ਦੇ ਸਿੱਧਪੁਰਮ ਪਿੰਡ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਗੋਦ ਲਿਆ।
ਗੁਜਰਾਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਮੀਰ ਖਾਨ ਨੇ ਗੋਦ ਲਏ ਪਿੰਡ – Amir Khan Adopted Villages in Gujrat
ਬਾਲੀਵੁੱਡ ਸਟਾਰ ਆਮਿਰ ਖਾਨ ਨੇ ਮਹਾਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਦੇ ਸੋਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਖੇਤਰ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਤਲ ਅਤੇ ਕੋਰੇਗਾਂਵ ਨੂੰ ਗੋਦ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਵਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ 2001 ‘ਚ ਗੁਜਰਾਤ ਦੇ ਕੱਛ ‘ਚ ਵੀ ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੋਦ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ।

ਨਾਨਾ ਪਾਟੇਕਰ ਨੇ ਨਾਮ ਫਾਊਂਡੇਸ਼ਨ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਐਨਜੀਓ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਨਾਲ ਮਰਾਠਵਾੜਾ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਸੋਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੋਦ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਫਾਊਂਡੇਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਸਥਾਪਨਾ ਸੋਕੇ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਲਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ।
