ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਯਾਤਰਾ: ਭਗਵਾਨ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਮੰਦਰ, ਸ਼ੰਕਰਾਚਾਰੀਆ ਵੀ 8ਵੀਂ ਸਦੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਥੇ ਆਏ ਸਨ।
ਜਗੇਸ਼ਵਰ ਧਾਮ, ਭਗਵਾਨ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਮੰਦਰ, ਦਿੱਲੀ ਤੋਂ 412 ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਦੂਰ ਅਲਮੋੜਾ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਥਿਤ ਹੈ। ਜਿੱਥੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਕੋਨੇ-ਕੋਨੇ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਲੂ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਹਫਤੇ ਦੇ ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਥੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਭੋਲੇਨਾਥ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਵੀ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹੋ। ਦਿੱਲੀ ਤੋਂ ਜਗੇਸ਼ਵਰ ਪਹੁੰਚਣ ਲਈ 10 ਤੋਂ 11 ਘੰਟੇ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਜਗੇਸ਼ਵਰ ਧਾਮ ਦਾ ਵਰਣਨ ਸਕੰਦ ਪੁਰਾਣ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਪੁਰਾਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਮੰਦਰ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਲਿੰਗ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਪਰੰਪਰਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸਪਤਰਿਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਇੱਥੇ ਤਪੱਸਿਆ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ। ਆਦਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਸ਼ੰਕਰਾਚਾਰੀਆ ਵੀ ਅੱਠਵੀਂ ਸਦੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਗੇਸ਼ਵਰ ਧਾਮ ਆਏ ਸਨ। ਇਹ ਵੀ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਲਵ-ਕੁਸ਼ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਇੱਥੇ ਯੱਗ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਦਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਜਗੇਸ਼ਵਰ ਮੰਦਰ ਕੰਪਲੈਕਸ ਵਿੱਚ 124 ਮੰਦਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਮੂਹ ਹੈ। ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡੀਆਂ ਚੱਟਾਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਜਗੇਸ਼ਵਰ ਧਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਰਕੀਟੈਕਚਰ ਦਾ ਵਿਲੱਖਣ ਨਮੂਨਾ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸ਼ੰਕਰਾਚਾਰੀਆ ਕੇਦਾਰਨਾਥ ਜਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਜਗੇਸ਼ਵਰ ਆਏ ਸਨ
ਸ਼ੰਕਰਾਚਾਰੀਆ ਨੇ ਕੇਦਾਰਨਾਥ ਜਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਜਗੇਸ਼ਵਰ ਧਾਮ ਵਿਖੇ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਕਈ ਮੰਦਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੁਰੰਮਤ ਅਤੇ ਸਥਾਪਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ। ਸ਼ਿਵ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਅੱਠਵੇਂ ਜਯੋਤਿਰਲਿੰਗ ਵਜੋਂ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉੱਚੇ ਪਹਾੜਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਵਦਾਰ ਦੇ ਸੰਘਣੇ ਜੰਗਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਸਥਿਤ ਜਗੇਸ਼ਵਰ ਧਾਮ ਬਾਰੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਨੇ ਇੱਥੇ ਅਨਾਦਿ ਕਾਲ ਤੱਕ ਤਪੱਸਿਆ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ। ਇੱਥੇ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਦੀ ਮੌਜੂਦਗੀ ਜਾਗ੍ਰਿਤ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੰਨੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੰਦਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਇਮਾਰਤਸਾਜ਼ੀ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੈਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਦਿਆਂ ਇਹ 7ਵੀਂ ਤੋਂ 12ਵੀਂ ਸਦੀ ਦੇ ਮੱਧ ਦੇ ਦੱਸੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਦੇ ਇਹ ਮੰਦਰ ਕਟਯੂਰ ਅਤੇ ਚੰਦ ਸ਼ਾਸਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਣਾਏ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਕੁਝ ਮੰਦਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਪਤ ਕਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।ਇੱਥੇ ਇੱਕ ਕੁਬੇਰ ਮੰਦਰ ਵੀ ਹੈ।ਜਾਗੇਸ਼ਵਰ ਧਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਕੁਬੇਰ ਮੰਦਰ ਵੀ ਹੈ। ਜਿੱਥੇ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਕੁਬੇਰ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਲੰਬੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੱਕ ਇਸ ਦਾਰੂਕਾਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਮਾਧੀ ਬਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ ਤਾਂ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਗਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਇਸ ਸਥਾਨ ‘ਤੇ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਹੀ ਕਾਰਨ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਇੰਦਰ, ਵਰੁਣ, ਕੁਬੇਰ, ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ, ਵਿਸ਼ਨੂੰ, ਲਕਸ਼ਮੀ, ਨਵਦੁਰਗਾ, ਨੀਲਕੰਠ, ਸੂਰਜ, ਯਮ ਆਦਿ ਦੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਮੰਦਰ ਹਨ।
ਆਦਿ ਸ਼ੰਕਰਾਚਾਰੀਆ ਨੇ ਜਗੇਸ਼ਵਰ ਧਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਿਵਲਿੰਗ ਦੀ ਦੁਰਵਰਤੋਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਕੀਤੇ। ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਇੱਥੇ ਬੁਰਾਈ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਮਨੋਕਾਮਨਾਵਾਂ ਪੂਰੀਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇੱਥੇ ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮਹਾਮਰਿਤੁੰਜਯ ਮੰਤਰ ਦਾ ਜਾਪ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਜੋ ਵੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਕੀਤੀ, ਉਹ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਦਾ ਮਹਾਮਰਿਤੁੰਜਯ ਰੂਪ ਕੇਵਲ ਜਗੇਸ਼ਵਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਮੰਦਰ ਜਟਾ ਗੰਗਾ ਦੇ ਕਿਨਾਰੇ ਸਥਿਤ ਹੈ। ਨੰਦਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਰਭੀ ਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਦੋ ਛੋਟੀਆਂ ਨਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਟਾ ਗੰਗਾ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇੱਥੇ ਇੱਕ ਕੁੰਡ ਵੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਲੂ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
