ਕਰਨਾਟਕ ਦੇ ਬੇਲੂਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਥਿਤ ਚੇਨਾਕੇਸ਼ਵ ਮੰਦਿਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਮੰਦਰ ਲਗਭਗ 1000 ਸਾਲ ਪੁਰਾਣਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਕੋਨੇ-ਕੋਨੇ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਲੂ ਇੱਥੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਮੰਦਰ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਵਿਸ਼ਨੂੰ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਮੰਦਰ ਆਪਣੀ ਨੱਕਾਸ਼ੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਰਕੀਟੈਕਚਰ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਹੈ। ਆਓ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਇਸ ਮੰਦਰ ਦਾ ਮਿਥਿਹਾਸਕ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ
ਇਹ ਮੰਦਰ 103 ਸਾਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੂਰਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ
ਬੇਲੂਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੇਨਾਕੇਸ਼ਵ ਸਵਾਮੀ ਮੰਦਰ 103 ਸਾਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਣਿਆ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਮੰਦਰ ਦਾ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਹੋਯਸਾਲਾ ਰਾਜਵੰਸ਼ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਨੂੰਵਰਧਨ ਨੇ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਮੰਦਿਰ 1117 ਵਿੱਚ ਪੂਰਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਚੇਨਾਕੇਸ਼ਵ ਸਵਾਮੀ ਮੰਦਿਰ ਦਾ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਨਰਮ ਸੋਪਸਟੋਨ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਚੇਨਕੇਸ਼ਵ ਸਵਾਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਵਿਸ਼ਨੂੰ ਦਾ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਮੰਦਿਰ ਹੋਯਸਾਲਾ ਕਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਇਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੋਯਸਾਲਾ ਵਾਸਤੂਕਲਾ ਦੀ ਝਲਕ ਦੇਖਣ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਇਹ ਮੰਦਰ 178 ਫੁੱਟ ਲੰਬਾ ਅਤੇ 156 ਫੁੱਟ ਚੌੜਾ ਹੈ।
ਚੇਨਾਕੇਸ਼ਵ ਮੰਦਿਰ 178 ਫੁੱਟ ਲੰਬਾ ਅਤੇ 156 ਫੁੱਟ ਚੌੜਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁੱਲ 48 ਉੱਕਰੀਆਂ ਥੰਮ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਥੰਮ੍ਹਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਨੱਕਾਸ਼ੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਮੰਦਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੰਧਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਮਿਥਿਹਾਸਕ ਪਾਤਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਿੱਤਰ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੀ ਬਣਤਰ ਇੰਨੀ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਸਨੂੰ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਪੁਰਾਤੱਤਵ ਸਰਵੇਖਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮਾਨਤਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਇਸਦੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਦੁਆਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ, ਪੂਰਬੀ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਦੁਆਰ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਤਮ ਅਤੇ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਮੰਦਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਮਾਇਣ ਅਤੇ ਮਹਾਭਾਰਤ ਕਾਲ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਕਈ ਤਸਵੀਰਾਂ ਪੇਂਟ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਇਸ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰਸਵਤੀ ਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੂਰਤੀ ਵੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਮੂਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ‘ਤੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਪਾਉਣ ‘ਤੇ ਨੱਕ ਦੇ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਖੱਬੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਵਗਦਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਖੱਬੇ ਹੱਥ ਦੀ ਹਥੇਲੀ ਵਿਚ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਧਾਰਾ ਸੱਜੇ ਪੈਰ ਦੀ ਤਲੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਖੱਬੇ ਪੈਰ ‘ਤੇ ਡਿੱਗਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਮੂਰਤੀ ਵੀ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਡਿਜ਼ਾਈਨ ਵਿਚ ਬਣਾਈ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਸ਼ਰਧਾਲੂ ਸੜਕ, ਹਵਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਰੇਲ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਇਸ ਮੰਦਰ ਤੱਕ ਆਸਾਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਮੰਦਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਣ ਲਈ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਨਜ਼ਦੀਕੀ ਹਵਾਈ ਅੱਡਾ ਮੰਗਲੌਰ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਜ਼ਦੀਕੀ ਰੇਲਵੇ ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਹਸਨ ਜੰਕਸ਼ਨ ਹੈ। ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹਵਾਈ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ, ਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਹਵਾਈ ਅੱਡੇ ‘ਤੇ ਉਤਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਬੱਸ ਜਾਂ ਟੈਕਸੀ ਦੁਆਰਾ 180 ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਦਾ ਸਫਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਰੇਲਵੇ ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਤੋਂ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੀ ਦੂਰੀ ਸਿਰਫ਼ 25 ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਹੈ।
