ਡੈਸਕ- ਟਮਾਟਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਭਾਰੀ ਕਿੱਲਤ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਕੁਝ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਭਾਰਤੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਜੇਬਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾੜ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰਚੂਨ ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰ ‘ਚ ਟਮਾਟਰ ਦਾ ਭਾਅ 80-120 ਰੁਪਏ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਕਿਲੋਗ੍ਰਾਮ ‘ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਜਦਕਿ ਥੋਕ ਭਾਅ 65-70 ਰੁਪਏ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਕਿਲੋ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਕੀਮਤਾਂ ‘ਚ ਵਾਧੇ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਨ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾਤਰ ਹਿੱਸਿਆਂ ‘ਚ ਉੱਚ ਤਾਪਮਾਨ, ਘੱਟ ਉਤਪਾਦਨ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਈ ਬਾਰਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਟਮਾਟਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੀਮਤਾਂ ‘ਚ ਅਚਾਨਕ ਆਈ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਰਿਜ਼ਰਵ ਬੈਂਕ (ਆਰ.ਬੀ.ਆਈ.) ਦੀ ਮਹਿੰਗਾਈ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਕੀਮਤਾਂ ਕਿਉਂ ਵਧੀਆਂ?ਦਿੱਲੀ ਦੇ ਆਜ਼ਾਦਪੁਰ ਥੋਕ ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰ ਦੇ ਟਮਾਟਰ ਵਪਾਰੀ ਅਸ਼ੋਕ ਗਨੋਰ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਦੋ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਟਮਾਟਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੀਮਤਾਂ ਦੁੱਗਣੀਆਂ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਗੁਆਂਢੀ ਰਾਜਾਂ ਹਰਿਆਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਟਮਾਟਰ ਦੀ ਸਪਲਾਈ ਘਟ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਅਸੀਂ ਹੁਣ ਬੰਗਲੌਰ ਤੋਂ ਟਮਾਟਰ ਮੰਗਵਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ।
ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ, ਇਹ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਫ਼ਤਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਉੱਚੀਆਂ ਕੀਮਤਾਂ ਜਾਰੀ ਰਹਿਣਗੀਆਂ. ਉਹ ਘੱਟ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਨਵੀਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਜਲਦੀ ਹੀ ਵਾਢੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ, ਪਰ ਜੇਕਰ ਹਿਮਾਚਲ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਵਧ ਰਹੇ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰੀ ਮੀਂਹ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਕੀਮਤਾਂ ਸਥਿਰ ਰਹਿ ਸਕਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਗਨੋਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ। ਮੀਡੀਆ ਰਿਪੋਰਟਾਂ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਸਾਲ ਟਮਾਟਰ ਦੀ ਬਿਜਾਈ ਘੱਟ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾਤਰ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਬੀਨਜ਼ ਦੀ ਬਿਜਾਈ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਕੀਮਤ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਸਾਲ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਸੀ।
ਇੱਕ ਥੋਕ ਵਿਕਰੇਤਾ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਟਮਾਟਰ ਦੇ ਭਾਅ ਵੱਧ ਮਿਲ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਵਿਕਰੇਤਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਹਿੰਗੇ ਭਾਅ ਦੇਣੇ ਪੈ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੋ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਟਮਾਟਰ ਮਿਲਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਹ 80 ਰੁਪਏ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ 100 ਰੁਪਏ ਤੱਕ ਵੇਚਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਦੇਸ਼ ‘ਚ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਬਾਰਿਸ਼ ਕਾਰਨ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਟਮਾਟਰ ਦੀ ਫਸਲ ‘ਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਾੜਾ ਅਸਰ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਮੰਡੀਆਂ ‘ਚ ਟਮਾਟਰ ਘੱਟ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਵੀ ਮੰਡੀ ‘ਚ ਕਿਸੇ ਸਬਜ਼ੀ ਦੀ ਕਮੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਕੀਮਤ ਵੱਧ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
