BRAMPTON, OCTOBER 27: Two Indian-origin men have been charged with robbery in Brampton, Canada.
Investigators from Central Robbery Bureau have charged Manjot Singh and Shivam Miglani relating to an attempted carjacking in the City of Brampton.
According to Peel Regional Police, the attempted robbery took place on Sunday at approximately 1:50 p.m when the victim parked his vehicle at a gas station in the area of Mississauga Road and Steeles Avenue in the City of Brampton. The victim was then confronted by the accused parties, one armed with a knife. They made a demand for his keys, and a struggle ensued. They were not successful in obtaining the truck keys and fled on foot. There were no physical injuries sustained by the victim.
On Monday, at 2:20 a.m., the suspects were located nearby in a commercial business where officers arrested them.
25-year-old Manjot Singh from Brampton and 20-year-old Shivam Miglani from Brampton, both were charged with Robbery.
Both were held for a bail hearing and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on October 26, 2020.
