ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਬਾਲੀਵੁੱਡ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸਿਨੇਮਾ ਤੱਕ ਟੀਵੀ ਸੀਰੀਅਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਸਾਲ 1974 ‘ਚ ਹੁਸ਼ਿਆਰਪੁਰ ‘ਚ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਮੁੱਢਲੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ, ਉਸਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਤੋਂ ਡਰਾਮੇਟਿਕ ਆਰਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਾਸਟਰ ਦੀ ਡਿਗਰੀ ਲਈ। ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਡਾਕਟਰ ਬਣਨ ਦਾ ਸ਼ੌਕ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਐਕਟਿੰਗ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਰਫ 7 ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਐਕਟਿੰਗ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਜਾਣ ਕੇ ਹੈਰਾਨੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਪਰ ਇਹ ਸੱਚ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਸੱਤ ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਸੀ ਉਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਸਕੂਲ ਦੀ ਤਰਫ਼ੋਂ ਦੂਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ‘ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਕਰਦੀ ਸੀ।
ਕਈ ਭਾਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ
ਸਾਲ 1988 ‘ਚ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਰਾਜਸਥਾਨੀ ਫਿਲਮ ‘ਬਾਈ ਚਲੀ ਸਾਸਰੇ’ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਰੀਅਰ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਕੀਤੀ, ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਰਾਜਸਥਾਨੀ, ਪੰਜਾਬੀ, ਗੁਜਰਾਤੀ, ਭੋਜਪੁਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਹਿੰਦੀ ਫਿਲਮਾਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ। ਇੱਕ ਇੰਟਰਵਿਊ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਨੇ ਖੁਦ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਸਮਾਂ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਦਿਨ ਵਿੱਚ 3-3 ਸ਼ਿਫਟਾਂ ਕਰਦੀ ਸੀ। ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਰੀਅਰ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਬਾਲੀਵੁੱਡ ਫਿਲਮ ਬਾਬੁਲ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤੀ, ਜੋ ਰਾਜਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਪ੍ਰੋਡਕਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਬੈਨਰ ਹੇਠ ਬਣੀ ਸੀ, ਉਸਨੇ ਸ਼ਾਹਰੁਖ ਖਾਨ ਦੀ ਡਰ, ਅਜੇ ਦੇਵਗਨ ਦੀ ਬੇਦਰਦੀ, ਅਨਿਲ ਕਪੂਰ ਦੀ ਲੋਫਰ, ਮਿਥੁਨ ਚੱਕਰਵਰਤੀ ਦੀ ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਫਿਲਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਛੋਟੀਆਂ ਭੂਮਿਕਾਵਾਂ ਨਿਭਾਈਆਂ।
ਬੂਆ ਬਣ ਕੇ ਸਭ ਦਾ ਦਿਲ ਜਿੱਤ ਲਿਆ
ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੱਸ ਦੇਈਏ ਕਿ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ‘ਦਿ ਕਪਿਲ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਸ਼ੋਅ’ ‘ਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਦਮਦਾਰ ਅਦਾਕਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਮੇਡੀ ਲਈ ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਸ਼ੋਅ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਟੀਵੀ ਦੀ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਖਰੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਸ਼ੋਅ ‘ਚ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪਿੰਕੀ ਬੂਆ ਦਾ ਕਿਰਦਾਰ ਨਿਭਾ ਕੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਦਿਲ ਜਿੱਤ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ। ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਕਰੀਬ 75 ਫਿਲਮਾਂ ‘ਚ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ। ਉਪਾਸਨ ਨੇ ‘ਰਾਜਾ ਕੀ ਆਏਗੀ ਬਾਰਾਤ’, ‘ਬਾਣੀ-ਇਸ਼ਕ ਦਾ ਕਲਮਾ’, ‘ਮਾਇਕਾ’, ‘ਸੋਨਪਰੀ’ ਵਰਗੇ ਟੀਵੀ ਸੀਰੀਅਲ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ।
ਅਦਾਕਾਰ ਨੀਰਜ ਭਾਰਦਵਾਜ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਆਹ ਕੀਤਾ
ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਨੇ ਸਾਲ 2009 ਵਿੱਚ ਟੀਵੀ ਐਕਟਰ ਨੀਰਜ ਭਾਰਦਵਾਜ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਆਹ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਦੋਵੇਂ ਸੀਰੀਅਲ ‘ਐ ਦਿਲੇ ਨਾਦਾਨ’ ‘ਚ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਦੋਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੈੱਟ ‘ਤੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਆਹ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ।
