ਇਸ ਬਸਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਿੰਨੀ ਗੋਆ ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ। ਦੋਵੇਂ ਪਾਸੇ ਸੰਘਣੇ ਹਰੇ-ਭਰੇ ਪਹਾੜਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਘਿਰੀ ਅਬਾਦੀ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਚਕਾਰੋਂ ਵਗਦੀ ਨਦੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਫ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਧਾਰਾ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਲ ਖਿੱਚਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਸੋਨਭੱਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਮੱਧ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਸਮੇਤ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਜ਼ਿਲਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹੋਰ ਸੂਬਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਲੋਕ ਇੱਥੇ ਆਨੰਦ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇੱਥੇ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸੈਲਾਨੀ ਪੂਰਾ ਦਿਨ ਇੱਥੇ ਬਿਤਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਕਈ ਲੋਕ ਇੱਥੇ ਪਿਕਨਿਕ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਵਾਰਾਣਸੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਨਗਰ ਰਾਜ ਮਾਰਗ ਤੋਂ ਕਰੀਬ 20 ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਦੀ ਦੂਰੀ ‘ਤੇ ਸਥਿਤ ਇਹ ਇਲਾਕਾ ਆਬਾਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੱਖਰਾ ਹੈ, ਜੰਗਲ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸੈਲਾਨੀ ਇੱਥੇ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾਤਰ ਸਰਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਮੌਸਮ ‘ਚ ਹੀ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਯਾਤਰੀ ਵਾਹਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਚੱਲਦੇ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ ਇੱਥੇ ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਸੈਲਾਨੀ ਪਹੁੰਚਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕਾਰ ਦੀਪਕ ਕੇਸਰਵਾਨੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਚਾਰ ਰਾਜਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਘਿਰਿਆ ਸੋਨਭੱਦਰ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਸੈਰ-ਸਪਾਟੇ ਦੇ ਨਜ਼ਰੀਏ ਤੋਂ ਕੁਦਰਤ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਵਰਦਾਨ ਹੈ। ਅਬਾਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਿੰਨੀ ਗੋਆ ਦਾ ਖਿਤਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ਇੱਥੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਘਾਟ ਹੈ। ਜੇਕਰ ਇੱਥੇ ਸਹੀ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਸੈਲਾਨੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਆਮਦ ਨਾਲ ਰੁਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਦੇ ਸੌਖੇ ਮੌਕੇ ਵੀ ਉਪਲਬਧ ਹੋਣਗੇ। ਦੂਰ-ਦੁਰਾਡੇ ਤੋਂ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸੈਲਾਨੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਰਿਹਾਇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਵਧੀਆ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
