ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ: ਏਸ਼ੀਆ ਕੱਪ 2022 ਦੇ ਸੁਪਰ ਫੋਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਲੰਕਾ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਟੀਚੇ ਦਾ ਪਿੱਛਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਦੁਬਈ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਸਟੇਡੀਅਮ ‘ਚ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਵਾਰ ਟੀਮ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਦੇ ਗੇਂਦਬਾਜ਼ 170 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਦੇ ਟੀਚੇ ਦਾ ਬਚਾਅ ਕਰਨ ‘ਚ ਨਾਕਾਮ ਰਹੇ। ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ 182 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਦਾ ਟੀਚਾ 5 ਵਿਕਟਾਂ ਗੁਆ ਕੇ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਲੰਕਾ ਨੇ 174 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਦਾ ਟੀਚਾ ਸਿਰਫ ਚਾਰ ਵਿਕਟਾਂ ਦੇ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ‘ਤੇ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ। ਸ਼੍ਰੀਲੰਕਾ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਆਖਰੀ ਓਵਰ ‘ਚ ਕਪਤਾਨ ਰੋਹਿਤ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਹਲਕੇ ਦਬਾਅ ‘ਚ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਆਏ। ਆਖਰੀ ਦੋ ਓਵਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਲੰਕਾ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੱਤ ਲਈ 21 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਸੀ। ਭੁਵਨੇਸ਼ਵਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੇ 19ਵੇਂ ਓਵਰ ਵਿੱਚ 14 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ। ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਗੇਂਦਬਾਜ਼ ਅਰਸ਼ਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਆਖਰੀ ਓਵਰ ਗੇਂਦਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਕਰਨ ਆਇਆ। ਪਰ ਉਸ ਲਈ 7 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਦਾ ਬਚਾਅ ਕਰਨਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲ ਸੀ।

ਇਸ ਮੈਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਰਸ਼ਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਦੋ ਓਵਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ 26 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਡੈੱਥ ਓਵਰਾਂ ‘ਚ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਗੇਂਦਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਕੀਤੀ। 23 ਸਾਲਾ ਅਰਸ਼ਦੀਪ ਆਖਰੀ ਓਵਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜ਼ਬਰਦਸਤ ਯਾਰਕਰ ਸੁੱਟ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਬੱਲੇਬਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੇਂਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੇਡਣਾ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਸ਼੍ਰੀਲੰਕਾ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੱਤ ਲਈ ਆਖਰੀ 4 ਓਵਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ 42 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਸੀ। ਅਰਸ਼ਦੀਪ ਜਦੋਂ ਪਾਰੀ ਦੀ 17ਵੀਂ ਪਾਰੀ ਖੇਡਣ ਆਇਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਿਰਫ਼ 9 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਹੀ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਹਾਰਦਿਕ ਪੰਡਯਾ ਨੇ 18ਵੇਂ ਓਵਰ ਵਿੱਚ 12 ਅਤੇ ਭੁਵਨੇਸ਼ਵਰ ਨੇ 19ਵੇਂ ਓਵਰ ਵਿੱਚ 14 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ।
ਭਾਰੀ ਦਬਾਅ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ ਅਰਸ਼ਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਆਖਰੀ ਓਵਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਾਰਕਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਪਹਿਲੀਆਂ ਤਿੰਨ ਗੇਂਦਾਂ ਸੁੱਟੀਆਂ। ਭਾਨੁਕਾ ਰਾਜਪਕਸ਼ੇ ਅਤੇ ਕਪਤਾਨ ਦਾਸੁਨ ਸ਼ਨਾਕਾ ਸਿਰਫ਼ 4 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਹੀ ਬਣਾ ਸਕੇ। ਜੇਕਰ ਅਰਸ਼ਦੀਪ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਰੀ ਓਵਰ ‘ਚ ਕੁਝ ਹੋਰ ਦੌੜਾਂ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਟੀਮ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੱਤ ਦਿਵਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਸੀ। ਮੈਚ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਕਪਤਾਨ ਰੋਹਿਤ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਖੂਬ ਤਾਰੀਫ ਕੀਤੀ। ਕਪਤਾਨ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਸਾਨੂੰ ਅਰਸ਼ਦੀਪ ਨੂੰ ਕ੍ਰੈਡਿਟ ਦੇਣਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਡੈਥ ਓਵਰਾਂ ‘ਚ ਚੰਗੀ ਗੇਂਦਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ।”
