ਪੀਟੀ ਊਸ਼ਾ ਨੇ ਵਿਨੇਸ਼ ਨਾਲ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ- ਅਯੋਗਤਾ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਰਾਸ਼
ਭਾਰਤੀ ਓਲੰਪਿਕ ਸੰਘ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਡਾ.ਪੀ.ਟੀ.ਊਸ਼ਾ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਬਿਆਨ ਜਾਰੀ ਕਰਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ- ਮੈਂ ਓਲੰਪਿਕ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਕੁਸ਼ਤੀ 50 ਕਿਲੋ ਵਰਗ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਤੋਂ ਵਿਨੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਅਯੋਗ ਕਰਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਰਾਸ਼ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਕੁਝ ਸਮਾਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵਿਨੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਓਲੰਪਿਕ ਵਿਲੇਜ ਪੌਲੀਕਲੀਨਿਕ ਵਿਖੇ ਮਿਲੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਓਲੰਪਿਕ ਸੰਘ, ਭਾਰਤ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਦਾ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਅਸੀਂ ਵਿਨੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਡਾਕਟਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਵਨਾਤਮਕ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ।
ਵਿਨੇਸ਼ ਫੋਗਾਟ ਨੇ ਇਕ ਦਿਨ ‘ਚ 3 ਮੈਚ ਜਿੱਤੇ
ਵਿਨੇਸ਼ ਫੋਗਾਟ ਨੇ ਮੰਗਲਵਾਰ 6 ਅਗਸਤ ਨੂੰ 50 ਕਿਲੋਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਵਰਗ ਵਿੱਚ 3 ਮੈਚ ਖੇਡੇ। ਵਿਨੇਸ਼ ਫੋਗਾਟ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰੀ-ਕੁਆਰਟਰ ਫਾਈਨਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਟੋਕੀਓ ਓਲੰਪਿਕ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨ ਯੂਈ ਸੁਸਾਕੀ ਨੂੰ 3-2 ਨਾਲ ਹਰਾਇਆ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਕੁਆਰਟਰ ਫਾਈਨਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਯੂਕਰੇਨ ਦੀ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਪਹਿਲਵਾਨ ਓਕਸਾਨਾ ਲਿਵਾਚ ਨੂੰ 7-5 ਨਾਲ ਹਾਰ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਪਿਆ। ਸੈਮੀਫਾਈਨਲ ‘ਚ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਊਬਾ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲਵਾਨ ਯੂਸਨੀਲਿਸ ਗੁਜ਼ਮੈਨ ਨੂੰ 5-0 ਨਾਲ ਹਰਾਇਆ। ਪਰ ਵਿਨੇਸ਼ ਫੋਗਾਟ ਨੂੰ 100 ਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਭਾਰ ਹੋਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਪੈਰਿਸ ਓਲੰਪਿਕ ਤੋਂ ਅਯੋਗ ਕਰਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਬੁੱਧਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਨੇਸ਼ ਫੋਗਾਟ ਦਾ ਵਜ਼ਨ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਨਿਰਧਾਰਤ 50 ਕਿਲੋਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀ ਤੋਂ ਸਿਰਫ਼ 100 ਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਵੱਧ ਪਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ।
