ਫਿਲਹਾਲ ਲਾਈਟਹਾਊਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਇਜਾਜ਼ਤ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਲਾਈਟਹਾਊਸ ਸਵੇਰੇ 10 ਵਜੇ ਤੋਂ ਦੁਪਹਿਰ 12.45 ਵਜੇ ਤੱਕ ਅਤੇ ਦੁਪਹਿਰ 2 ਵਜੇ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ਾਮ 5.45 ਵਜੇ ਤੱਕ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ, ਲਾਈਟਹਾਊਸ ਸੋਮਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਦ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਵਿਜਿਨਜਾਮ ਲਾਈਟਹਾਊਸ ਕੇਰਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਵਲਮ ਬੀਚ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਸਥਿਤ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਸਥਾਪਨਾ 30 ਜੂਨ 1972 ਨੂੰ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ। ਅਠਾਰਵੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹੀਵੀਂ ਸਦੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਜਿਨਜਾਮ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਅਸਤ ਬੰਦਰਗਾਹ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਾਈਟਹਾਊਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇੱਥੇ ਕੋਈ ਲਾਈਟਹਾਊਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ।
