ਸ਼ਨੀਵਾਰ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟਰ ਵਿਰਾਟ ਕੋਹਲੀ ਨੇ ਖੁਦ ਨੂੰ ਟੈਸਟ ਕਪਤਾਨੀ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ। ਕਰੀਬ 7 ਸਾਲ ਟੀਮ ਦੀ ਕਪਤਾਨੀ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਮੀਡੀਆ ‘ਤੇ ਇਕ ਪੋਸਟ ਸ਼ੇਅਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਕਪਤਾਨੀ ਛੱਡਣ ਦੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਵਿਰਾਟ ਕੋਹਲੀ ਦੀ ਕਪਤਾਨੀ ਨੇ ਅਚਾਨਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ੰਸਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਝਟਕਾ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਫਿਲਮ ਇੰਡਸਟਰੀ ਦੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੀ ਵੀ ਹੁਣ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਪਤਾਨੀ ਛੱਡਣ ਦੇ ਫੈਸਲੇ ‘ਤੇ ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਮੀਡੀਆ ‘ਤੇ ਲਿਖ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਇੰਸਟਾਗ੍ਰਾਮ ‘ਤੇ ਰਣਵੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਕਈ ਸਿਤਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ‘ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ’ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਵਿਰਾਟ ਕੋਹਲੀ ਨੇ ਪੋਸਟ ਸ਼ੇਅਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਲਿਖਿਆ। “ਇਹ ਸੱਤ ਸਾਲ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਸੱਤ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਟੀਮ ਨੂੰ ਸਹੀ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਜਾਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਕੰਮ ਇਮਾਨਦਾਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਕਸਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਛੱਡੀ ਪਰ ਹਰ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਦਾ ਅੰਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਟੈਸਟ ਕਪਤਾਨੀ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਸਹੀ ਸਮਾਂ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਈ ਉਤਰਾਅ-ਚੜ੍ਹਾਅ ਆਏ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਕਸਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਛੱਡੀ। ਮੈਂ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਆਪਣਾ 120 ਫੀਸਦੀ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ, ਜੇਕਰ ਮੈਂ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਚੀਜ਼ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਠੀਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਵਿਰਾਟ ਨੇ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਫੈਸਲੇ ‘ਤੇ ਪੂਰਾ ਯਕੀਨ ਹੈ।
