ਅਹਿਮਦਾਬਾਦ: ਵੀਰਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਇੰਡੀਅਨ ਪ੍ਰੀਮੀਅਰ ਲੀਗ (IPL 2024) ਵਿੱਚ, ਸ਼ਸ਼ਾਂਕ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਕਿੰਗਜ਼ (PBKS) ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਸਫੋਟਕ ਮੈਚ ਜੇਤੂ ਪਾਰੀ ਖੇਡੀ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੂੰ ਸੀਜ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਦੂਜੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਦਿਵਾਈ। ਇਸ ਮੈਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਗੁਜਰਾਤ ਟਾਈਟਨਜ਼ (ਜੀ.ਟੀ.) ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ 200 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਦੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਟੀਚੇ ਦਾ ਪਿੱਛਾ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ। ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਸਿਰਫ 70 ਦੌੜਾਂ ‘ਤੇ 4 ਵਿਕਟਾਂ ਗੁਆ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਸਨ, ਜਿਸ ‘ਚ ਸ਼ਿਖਰ ਧਵਨ (1), ਜੌਨੀ ਬੇਅਰਸਟੋ (22) ਅਤੇ ਸੈਮ ਕੁਰਾਨ (5) ਵਰਗੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਨਾਂ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਸਨ। ਇੱਥੇ ਸ਼ਸ਼ਾਂਕ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ 29 ਗੇਂਦਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਅਜੇਤੂ 61 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਟੀਮ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਜਿੱਤ ਦਿਵਾਈ। ਇਸ ਧਮਾਕੇਦਾਰ ਪਾਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਇਸ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਕਾਫੀ ਚਰਚਾ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਪਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਖੇਡਣ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਲੇਅਰ ਆਫ਼ ਦਾ ਮੈਚ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਗਿਆ।
ਸ਼ਸ਼ਾਂਕ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਕਨਫਿਊਜਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਖਰੀਦਿਆ
29 ਗੇਂਦਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਾਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ 6 ਚੌਕੇ ਅਤੇ 4 ਛੱਕੇ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਇਸ ਮੈਚ ਜੇਤੂ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੀਜ਼ਨ 2024 ਲਈ ਆਈਪੀਐਲ ਨਿਲਾਮੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਕਿੰਗਜ਼ ਨੇ ਉਲਝਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਖਰੀਦਿਆ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਕਨਫਿਊਜਨ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਇਹ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਲਈ ਜੈਕਪਾਟ ਸਾਬਤ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਖਿਸਕ ਗਿਆ ਮੈਚ ਜਿੱਤਣ ਵਿਚ ਮਦਦ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਕੌਣ ਹੈ ਸ਼ਸ਼ਾਂਕ ਸਿੰਘ?
ਇਹ 32 ਸਾਲਾ ਬੱਲੇਬਾਜ਼ ਆਲਰਾਊਂਡਰ ਛੱਤੀਸਗੜ੍ਹ ਲਈ ਘਰੇਲੂ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ‘ਚ ਖੇਡਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਕਿੰਗਜ਼ ਲਈ ਪੇਸ਼ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਉਹ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਕਈ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਆਈਪੀਐਲ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਲਈ ਖੇਡ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਇਸ ਮੈਚ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਲੀਗ ‘ਚ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਮੌਕੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲੇ। ਉਸਨੇ ਆਈਪੀਐਲ 2022 ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨਰਾਈਜ਼ਰਜ਼ ਹੈਦਰਾਬਾਦ (SRH) ਲਈ ਆਪਣਾ ਡੈਬਿਊ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਪਿਛਲੇ 2 ਸਾਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਰਫ 13 ਮੈਚ ਹੀ ਖੇਡ ਸਕਿਆ। ਅਜੇਤੂ 63 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਉਹ ਆਈਪੀਐਲ ਦੀਆਂ 8 ਪਾਰੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਰਫ਼ 99 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਹੀ ਬਣਾ ਸਕੇ ਸਨ।
ਘਰੇਲੂ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ
ਇਸ ਆਲਰਾਊਂਡਰ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਦਰਜੇ ਦੇ ਕਰੀਅਰ ‘ਚ 21 ਮੈਚ ਖੇਡੇ ਅਤੇ 1 ਸੈਂਕੜਾ ਅਤੇ 6 ਅਰਧ ਸੈਂਕੜੇ ਲਗਾ ਕੇ 858 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਫਾਰਮੈਟ ‘ਚ 12 ਵਿਕਟਾਂ ਵੀ ਲਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਆਪਣੇ ਲਿਸਟ ਏ ਕਰੀਅਰ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਰੀਏ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ 30 ਮੈਚਾਂ ‘ਚ 2 ਸੈਂਕੜੇ ਅਤੇ 3 ਅਰਧ ਸੈਂਕੜਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਨਾਲ 986 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ। ਇਸ ਫਾਰਮੈਟ ‘ਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ 33 ਵਿਕਟਾਂ ਹਨ।
ਸ਼ਸ਼ਾਂਕ ਨੂੰ ਗਲਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ‘ਚ ਖਰੀਦ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ
ਸ਼ਸ਼ਾਂਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਖੁਸ਼ਕਿਸਮਤ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਕਿੰਗਜ਼ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਖਰੀਦਿਆ ਗਿਆ, ਭਾਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਬੇਝਿਜਕ ਹੋ ਕੇ. ਦਰਅਸਲ, ਇਸ ਵਾਰ ਨਿਲਾਮੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿਲਚਸਪੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਸੀ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਨਿਲਾਮੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਇਆ ਤਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਬੋਲੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਗਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਭੰਬਲਭੂਸੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਧਾਰ ਕੀਮਤ ’ਤੇ ਬੋਲੀ ਲਗਾਈ। ਨਿਲਾਮੀ ‘ਚ ਬੈਠੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਕਿੰਗਜ਼ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਇਸ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਭੰਬਲਭੂਸਾ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਸਕੇ ਤਾਂ ਨਿਲਾਮੀ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਮੱਲਿਕਾ ਸਾਗਰ ਨੇ ਹਥੌੜਾ ਸੁੱਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਕਿੰਗਜ਼ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ।
ਗਲਤੀ ‘ਤੇ ਮਾਣ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ
ਪ੍ਰਿਟੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਟਾ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਇਕ ਹੋਰ ਸ਼ਸ਼ਾਂਕ ਨੂੰ ਖਰੀਦਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਗਲਤ ਨਿਲਾਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਫੜਨ ਨਾਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਿਹਰੇ ‘ਤੇ ਨਿਰਾਸ਼ਾ ਸਾਫ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਦੇ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਦੀ ਗਲਤੀ ਦਾ ਵੀਡੀਓ ਵੀ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਇਆ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਜਦੋਂ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਕ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਰੀ ਹੋਈ ਖੇਡ ਜਿੱਤ ਕੇ ਜਸ਼ਨ ਮਨਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਟੀਮ ਉਸ ਗਲਤੀ ‘ਤੇ ਮਾਣ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
