ਨਵੀਂ ਮੁੰਬਈ ਦੇ ਡੀਵਾਈ ਪਾਟਿਲ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਸਟੇਡੀਅਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਈਪੀਐਲ 2022 ਵਿੱਚ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ 18 ਮੈਚ ਖੇਡੇ ਜਾ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ 10 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਿੱਛਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਜਿੱਤ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੀ। ਜਦਕਿ ਬਾਕੀ 8 ‘ਚ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਬੱਲੇਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਜਿੱਤ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਯਾਨੀ ਦੌੜਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਿੱਛਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਸੀਜ਼ਨ ‘ਚ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਜਿੱਤਾਂ ਮਿਲੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਸੀਜ਼ਨ ‘ਚ ਇਸ ਮੈਦਾਨ ‘ਤੇ 4 ਵਾਰ 200 ਪਲੱਸ ਦਾ ਸਕੋਰ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ। ਇੱਥੇ ਲਾਲ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਵਾਲੀ ਪਿੱਚ ‘ਤੇ ਤੇਜ਼ ਗੇਂਦਬਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਉਛਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹੀ ਕਾਰਨ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਬੱਲੇ ‘ਤੇ ਗੇਂਦ ਵੀ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਯਾਨੀ ਗੇਂਦ ਅਤੇ ਬੱਲੇ ਦੀ ਲੜਾਈ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਮੈਦਾਨ ‘ਤੇ ਆਖਰੀ ਮੈਚ ਰਾਜਸਥਾਨ ਰਾਇਲਜ਼ ਅਤੇ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਕੈਪੀਟਲਜ਼ ਵਿਚਾਲੇ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ‘ਚ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਨੇ 2 ਵਿਕਟਾਂ ਗੁਆ ਕੇ 161 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਦਾ ਟੀਚਾ ਆਸਾਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ। ਇਸ ਸੀਜ਼ਨ ‘ਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਕਿੰਗਜ਼ ਅਤੇ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਕੈਪੀਟਲਸ ਵਿਚਾਲੇ ਇਹ ਦੂਜਾ ਮੈਚ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇਹ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਬ੍ਰੇਬੋਰਨ ਸਟੇਡੀਅਮ ‘ਚ ਆਹਮੋ-ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਸਨ। ਫਿਰ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਨੇ ਇਕਤਰਫਾ ਮੈਚ 9 ਵਿਕਟਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜਿੱਤ ਲਿਆ। ਅਜਿਹੇ ‘ਚ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਦਾ ਇਸ ਮੈਚ ‘ਚ ਵੀ ਭਾਰੀ ਪਕੜ ਹੈ।
