ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ — ਸ਼੍ਰੀਲੰਕਾ ਦੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਬੱਲੇਬਾਜ਼ ਮਹੇਲਾ ਜੈਵਰਧਨੇ ਦ ਹੰਡਰਡ ਟੂਰਨਾਮੈਂਟ ‘ਚ Southern Brave ਟੀਮ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਕੋਚ ਹਨ। ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਜੈਵਰਧਨੇ ਦੀ ਕੋਚਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ 2021 ਵਿੱਚ ਟਰਾਫੀ ਜਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ। ਉਸੇ ਸਾਲ 2022 ਦੇ ਟੂਰਨਾਮੈਂਟ ਵਿੱਚ, Southern Brave ਅੱਠ ਮੈਚਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਿੰਨ ਜਿੱਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਅੱਠਵੇਂ ਸਥਾਨ ‘ਤੇ ਰਿਹਾ। ਇਕ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਜੈਵਰਧਨੇ ਹੁਣ ਇਸ ਟੂਰਨਾਮੈਂਟ ‘ਚ ਕੋਚ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਛੱਡ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
ਜੈਵਰਧਨੇ ਨੇ ਅਜੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਤ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕੋਚ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਛੱਡਣ ਬਾਰੇ ਟੀਮ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਨ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਨ ਮੁੰਬਈ ਇੰਡੀਅਨਜ਼ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਧੀਆਂ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਜੈਵਰਧਨੇ 2017 ਤੋਂ ਮੁੰਬਈ ਇੰਡੀਅਨਜ਼ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਹਨ। ਆਪਣੇ ਕਾਰਜਕਾਲ ‘ਚ ਉਹ ਟੀਮ ਨੂੰ 3 ਖਿਤਾਬ ਦਿਵਾਉਣ ‘ਚ ਕਾਮਯਾਬ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੰਬਈ ਸੈੱਟਅੱਪ ਲਈ IPL ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ILT20 ਵਿੱਚ MI ਅਮੀਰਾਤ ਅਤੇ SA20 ਵਿੱਚ MI ਕੇਪ ਟਾਊਨ ਮੁੰਬਈ ਇੰਡੀਅਨਜ਼ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੀਆਂ ਫ੍ਰੈਂਚਾਇਜ਼ੀ ਹਨ।
