ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਪਲੇਟਫਾਰਮ Reddit ‘ਤੇ ਕਈ ਯੂਜ਼ਰਸ ਨੇ ਸਕਰੀਨਸ਼ਾਟ ਪੋਸਟ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਸ ‘ਚ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੌਪ-ਅਪ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਚਿਤਾਵਨੀ ਮਿਲੀ ਹੈ। ਸਕਰੀਨਸ਼ਾਟ ਤੋਂ ਪਤਾ ਚੱਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਯੂਟਿਊਬ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਯੂਜ਼ਰ ਐਡ ਬਲਾਕਰ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਲੇਅਰ ਨੂੰ ਤਿੰਨ ਵੀਡੀਓਜ਼ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਬਲਾਕ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
ਚੇਤਾਵਨੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਉਪਭੋਗਤਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਗਿਆਪਨ ਬਲੌਕਰ ਨੂੰ ਅਯੋਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਸਮੱਗਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਲੌਕ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਯਾਨੀ ਉਹ ਯੂਟਿਊਬ ਪਲੇਟਫਾਰਮ ‘ਤੇ ਵੀਡੀਓ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਲਾ ਸਕੇਗਾ।
ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ‘ਚ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਯੂਟਿਊਬ ਦੇ ਬੁਲਾਰੇ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ‘ਅਸੀਂ ਗਲੋਬਲ ਪੱਧਰ ‘ਤੇ ਇਕ ਛੋਟਾ ਜਿਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਯੋਗ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਯੂਜ਼ਰਸ ਨੂੰ ਯੂਟਿਊਬ ‘ਤੇ ਵਿਗਿਆਪਨ ਦੇਣ ਜਾਂ ਯੂਟਿਊਬ ਪ੍ਰੀਮੀਅਮ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਐਡ ਬਲਾਕਰ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਦੱਸਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਐਡ ਬਲੌਕਰ ਯੂਟਿਊਬ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਸ਼ਰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਲੰਘਣਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਗੂਗਲ ਦੀ ਮਲਕੀਅਤ ਵਾਲੇ ਯੂਟਿਊਬ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਉਪਭੋਗਤਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਲੇਟਫਾਰਮ ‘ਤੇ ਇਸ਼ਤਿਹਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ‘ਵਾਰ-ਵਾਰ ਸੂਚਨਾਵਾਂ’ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਣਗੀਆਂ।
