ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ : ਏਅਰ ਚੀਫ ਮਾਰਸ਼ਲ ਵੀ ਆਰ ਚੌਧਰੀ ਨੇ ਏਅਰ ਫੋਰਸ ਦੇ ਲੇਹ ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਤਰੀ ਸੈਕਟਰ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਤਾਇਨਾਤੀ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਦੌਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਫੌਜ ਦੀਆਂ ਯੂਨਿਟਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਾਰਜਸ਼ੀਲ ਤਿਆਰੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਜਾਇਜ਼ਾ ਲਿਆ। ਏਅਰ ਚੀਫ ਮਾਰਸ਼ਲ ਚੌਧਰੀ ਨੇ ਏਅਰਬੇਸ ‘ਤੇ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਥੇ ਤਾਇਨਾਤ ਯੂਨਿਟਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਵੀ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਭਾਰਤੀ ਹਵਾਈ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਨੇ ਐਤਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਟਵੀਟ ਕੀਤਾ, “ਚੀਫ਼ ਆਫ਼ ਏਅਰ ਸਟਾਫ਼ ਏਅਰ ਚੀਫ਼ ਮਾਰਸ਼ਲ ਵੀਆਰ ਚੌਧਰੀ 16 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਲੇਹ ਦੇ ਏਅਰ ਫੋਰਸ ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਤਰੀ ਸੈਕਟਰ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਾਲੇ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਏਅਰ ਫੋਰਸ ਤਾਇਨਾਤੀ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ।” ਪਿਛਲੇ ਸਾਲ 5 ਮਈ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਰਤ ਅਤੇ ਚੀਨੀ ਫ਼ੌਜਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਰਹੱਦ ‘ਤੇ ਵਿਵਾਦ ਦੀ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਸੀ।
ਪਾਂਗਾਂਗ ਝੀਲ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਰਮਿਆਨ ਹਿੰਸਕ ਝੜਪ ਹੋਈ, ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਦੋਵਾਂ ਧਿਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਤਾਇਨਾਤੀ ਵਧਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਫੌਜੀ ਅਤੇ ਕੂਟਨੀਤਕ ਪੱਧਰ ਦੀ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਦੇ ਕਈ ਦੌਰ ਦੇ ਬਾਅਦ, ਦੋਹਾਂ ਪੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਅਗਸਤ ਵਿਚ ਗੋਗਰਾ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿਚ ਵਾਪਸੀ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਪੂਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ। ਝੀਲ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੱਖਣੀ ਕਿਨਾਰਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਫ਼ੌਜੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਵਾਪਸੀ ਫਰਵਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ। ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਸਮੇਂ, ਸੰਵੇਦਨਸ਼ੀਲ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿਚ ਅਸਲ ਕੰਟਰੋਲ ਰੇਖਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹਰ ਪਾਸੇ ਤੋਂ 50,000 ਤੋਂ 60,000 ਸੈਨਿਕ ਤਾਇਨਾਤ ਹਨ।
