ਡੈਸਕ- ਆਸਟਰੇਲੀਆ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਐਂਥਨੀ ਅਲਬਾਨੀਜ਼ੀ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਵਿਸਾਖੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਜਸ਼ਨਾਂ ’ਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਿੱਖ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਖੂਬ ਤਾਰੀਫ਼ਾਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ। ਇਸ ਜਸ਼ਨ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਚ ਉਹ ਪੱਗ ਬੰਨ੍ਹੀਂ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਆਏ।
ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਐਂਥਨੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਵਲੰਟੀਅਰਜ਼ ਆਸਟਰੇਲੀਆ ਚੈਰਿਟੀ ਦੀ 10ਵੀਂ ਵਰ੍ਹੇਗੰਢ ’ਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਕਟੋਰੀਆ ਸੂਬੇ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਮੀਅਰ ਜੈਸਿੰਟਾ ਐਲਨ ਅਤੇ ਫੈਡਰਲ ਸੰਸਦ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਜੂਲੀਅਨ ਹਿਲ ਅਤੇ ਕੈਸੈਂਡਰਾ ਫਰਨਾਂਡੋ ਵੀ ਮੈਲਬੌਰਨ ’ਚ ਹੋਏ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਏ। ਅਲਬਾਨੀਜ਼ੀ ਨੇ ਵਿਸਾਖੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖ ਆਸਟ੍ਰੇਲੀਆਈ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ ਵਾਲਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਦਸਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਵਲੰਟੀਅਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਤਾਰੀਫ਼ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਅਪਣੇ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ’ਚ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜੰਗਲਾਂ ’ਚ ਅੱਗ ਲੱਗੀ ਹੋਵੇ, ਹੜ੍ਹ ਆਏ ਹੋਣ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਵੀ ਆਸਟ੍ਰੇਲੀਆਈ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਪੇਸ਼ ਔਕੜਾਂ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਹੋਰ ਭਾਈਚਾਰਕ ਸੰਗਠਨ ਨੇ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਚਾਹੇ ਵਿਕਟੋਰੀਆ ਹੋਵੇ, ਜਾਂ ਲਿਸਮੋਰ ’ਚ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਵੀ ਹੜ੍ਹ ਜਾਂ ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਮੌਸਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਘਟਨਾਵਾਂ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਅਸੀਂ ਵੇਖਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਸਿੱਖ ਅਪਣੇ ਸਾਥੀ ਲੋੜਵੰਦ ਆਸਟ੍ਰੇਲੀਆਈ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਅਪਣੇ ਧਰਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਦਰਾਂ-ਕੀਮਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਮਲ ’ਚ ਲਿਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਹਿਲ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਮੇਂ-ਸਮੇਂ ‘ਤੇ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਮਦਦ ਲਈ ਤਾਰੀਫ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਚੈਰਿਟੀ ਦੇ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਨਾ ਸਿਰਫ ਵਿਕਟੋਰੀਆ ’ਚ, ਬਲਕਿ ਨਿਊ ਸਾਊਥ ਵੇਲਜ਼ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਭਰ ’ਚ ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਆਫ਼ਤਾਂ, ਹਫਤਾਵਾਰੀ ਭੋਜਨ ਵੈਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰਾਂ ’ਚ ਸਮੇਂ-ਸਮੇਂ ’ਤੇ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਸਟਰੇਲੀਆ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
ਮੈਲਬੌਰਨ ਅਧਾਰਤ ਸਿੱਖ ਵਲੰਟੀਅਰਜ਼ ਆਸਟਰੇਲੀਆ ਚੈਰਿਟੀ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਸੈਂਕੜੇ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਭੋਜਨ ਪਕਾਏ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤਕ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਏ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕੋਵਿਡ-19 ਤਾਲਾਬੰਦੀ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ’ਚ 1500 ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਦਿਨ ਭੋਜਨ ਵੰਡਣਾ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੈ। ਸਿੱਖ ਵਲੰਟੀਅਰਜ਼ ਆਸਟਰੇਲੀਆ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਲੋੜਵੰਦ ਨੂੰ ਭੋਜਨ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਵਲੰਟੀਅਰ ਅਕਸਰ ਹੜ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਗ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਤ ਥਾਵਾਂ ’ਤੇ ਭੋਜਨ ਵੰਡਣ ਲਈ ਲੰਬੀ ਦੂਰੀ ਦੀ ਗੱਡੀ ਚਲਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਸਾਲ 2014 ’ਚ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀ ਦੇ 16 ਹੋਰ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਇਹ ਚੈਰਿਟੀ ਹੁਣ ਸੈਂਕੜੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤਕ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਦੇ ਅਪਣਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਬਿਤਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
