Vancouver – ਮਾਮਲਾ ਬੀਸੀ ਤੋਂ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਇਆ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਇਕ ਵਾਰ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਅਵਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਮਿਲੇ ਹਨ। ਬੀਸੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਕਰੈਨਬਰੁੱਕ ਨੇੜੇ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਰੈਜ਼ੀਡੈਂਸ਼ੀਅਲ ਸਕੂਲ ‘ਚ ਬੇਨਾਮ ਕਬਰਾਂ ’ਚੋਂ 182 ਅਵਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਮਿਲੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਦੀ ਪੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਲੋਅਰ ਕੁਟੀਨੇ ਬੈਂਡ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਬੁੱਧਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਬੈਂਡ ਨੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕੁਝ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਰਫ ਤਿੰਨ ਅਤੇ ਚਾਰ ਫੁੱਟ ਡੂੰਘੀਆਂ ਕਬਰਾਂ ‘ਚ ਦਫ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਕੂਨਟੈਕਸਾ ਨੇਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਰਿਹਾਇਸ਼ੀ ਸਕੂਲ 1910 ਅਤੇ 1970 ਦਰਮਿਆਨ 60 ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਚਲਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ। ਸਕੂਲ ਨੂੰ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਅਟੈਂਡ ਕੀਤਾ । The Truth and Reconciliation Commission ਦੀ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਮੁਤਾਬਿਕ ਕੈਨੇਡੀਅਨ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਸਕੂਲ ਨੂੰ ਫੰਡ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਸਕੂਲ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਨ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਚਾਲਨ ਕੈਥੋਲਿਕ ਚਰਚ ਦੁਆਰਾ 1890 ਤੋਂ 1970 ਤੱਕ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਬੀਸੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਰਿਹਾਇਸ਼ੀ ਸਕੂਲ ’ਚੋਂ 215 ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਅਵਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਮਿਲੇ ਸਨ। ਸਸਕੈਚਵਾਨ ਦੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਰਿਹਾਇਸ਼ੀ ਸਕੂਲ ‘ਚ 751 ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਰਹਿਤ ਕਬਰਾਂ ਮਿਲੀਆਂ ਸਨ।
