Ottawa – ਕੈਨੇਡੀਅਨ ਅਰਥ ਵਿਵਸਥਾ ’ਚ ਅਗਸਤ ਦੌਰਾਨ 40,000 ਦੇ ਲਗਭਗ ਰੁਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਦੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਮੌਕੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਏ, ਜੋਕਿ ਅਨੁਮਾਨ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਦੁੱਗਣੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਆਬਾਦੀ ’ਚ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਵਾਧਾ ਹੋਇਆ, ਨਵੀਆਂ ਨੌਕਰੀਆਂ ਉਸ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਅੱਧੇ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਘੱਟ ਹੀ ਹਨ।
ਸਟੈਟਿਸਟਿਕਸ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਵਲੋਂ ਸ਼ੁੱਕਰਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੇ ਅੰਕੜੇ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਕੈਨੇਡੀਅਨ ਆਬਾਦੀ ’ਚ ਅਗਸਤ ਦੌਰਾਨ 103,000 ਲੋਕ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਏ। ਇਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਨੌਕਰੀਆਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ ਜੇ ਕੰਮਕਾਜ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਵਾਲੀ ਆਬਾਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਨੌਕਰੀ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਤੁਲਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਦਰ ’ਚ 0.1 ਫ਼ੀਸਦੀ ਦਾ ਨਿਘਾਰ ਹੀ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਉਤਪਾਦਨ, ਖੇਤੀ, ਲੋਕ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ, ਵਿੱਤ, ਇੰਸ਼ੋਰੈਂਸ, ਰੀਅਲ ਅਸਟੇਟ, ਵਿੱਦਿਅਕ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿਚ ਨੌਕਰੀਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਨਿਘਾਰ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਜਦਕਿ ਕੰਸਟਰਕਸ਼ਨ, ਟਰਾਂਸਪੋਰਟ, ਵੇਅਰਹਾਊਸ, ਥੋਕ ਅਤੇ ਰਿਟੇਲ ਵਪਾਰ, ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਸਰੋਤ ਅਤੇ ਹੈਲਥ ਕੇਅਰ ਸੈਕਟਰ ਵਿਚ ਨਵੀਆਂ ਨੌਕਰੀਆਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਜਾਰੀ ਅੰਕੜਿਆਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ’ਚ 34,000 ਨਵੀਆਂ ਨੌਕਰੀਆਂ ਜੁੜੀਆਂ, ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਤਪਾਦਨ ਖੇਤਰ ’ਚ 30,000 ਨੌਕਰੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਨਿਘਾਰ ਹੋਇਆ। ਵਧੇਰੇ ਨੌਕਰੀਆਂ ਸਵੈ-ਰੁਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ’ਚ 50,000 ਅਹੁਦਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਸਥਾਰ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਜਨਤਕ ਖੇਤਰ ਦੀ ਜੇਕਰ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਇੱਥੇ 13,000 ਨਵੀਆਂ ਨੌਕਰੀਆਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਈਆਂ, ਜਦਕਿ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਖੇਤਰ ’ਚ 23,000 ਨੌਕਰੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਨਿਘਾਰ ਹੋਇਆ।
ਅਰਥਸ਼ਾਸਤਰੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਅਗਸਤ ਦੌਰਾਨ 20,000 ਨੌਕਰੀਆਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਅਨੁਮਾਨ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਤਾਂ ਨੌਕਰੀਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਕਮੀ ਦੇ ਕਿਆਸ ਲਗਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਲੇਬਰ ਮਾਰਕੀਟ ਵਿਚ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਨਿਘਾਰ ਦਾ ਦੂਸਰਾ ਮਹੀਨਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ। ਇਸ ਸਾਲ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਵਿਚ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ 174,000 ਨਵੀਆਂ ਨੌਕਰੀਆਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਹਰ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਤਕਰੀਬਨ 25,000 ਨੌਕਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਔਸਤ ਬਣਦੀ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਕੰਮਕਾਜੀ ਉਮਰ ਦੀ ਆਬਾਦੀ ਤਿੰਨ ਗੁਣਾ ਵਧ ਗਈ ਹੈ। 15 ਸਾਲ ਜਾਂ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਉਮਰ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਦੀ ਆਬਾਦੀ ਇਸ ਸਾਲ ਹਰ ਮਹੀਨੇ 83,000 ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਸਾਬ ਨਾਲ ਵਧੀ ਹੈ। ਬੈਂਕ ਆਫ਼ ਮਾਂਟਰੀਆਲ ਦੇ ਅਰਥਸ਼ਾਸਤਰੀ ਡਗ ਪੋਰਟਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਇੱਕ ਸਾਲ ’ਚ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ 800,000 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਲੋਕ ਜੌਬ ਮਾਰਕੀਟ ਵਿਚ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਦਾ ਇਕਹਿਰਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਕਾਰਨ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਦੀ ਆਬਾਦੀ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਲ ਖਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਨੌਕਰੀਆਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤ ਹੈ।
