ਉਧਰ, ਇੰਮੀਗ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਟੀਜ਼ਨਸ਼ਿਪ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਮਹਿਕਮੇ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਲੋਕ ਨਾ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਵਰਕ ਪਰਮਿਟ ਅਤੇ ਸਟੱਡੀ ਪਰਮਿਟ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਮੰਨੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਸਗੋਂ ਫ਼ੈਡਰਲ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਖਰਚੇ ’ਤੇ ਆਰਜ਼ੀ ਸਿਹਤ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਕਦਾਰ ਵੀ ਹੋਣਗੇ। ਦੱਸ ਦੇਈਏ ਕਿ ਬਿਲ ਸੀ-12 ਅਧੀਨ 24 ਜੂਨ 2020 ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਆਇਆ ਪਨਾਹ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ, ਜੇ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਸ਼ਖਸ ਨੇ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ ਸਾਲ ਰਹਿਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਦਾਖਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਵੇ। ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ 3 ਜੂਨ 2025 ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਦੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਗੈਰਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਦਾਖਲ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਅਸਾਇਲਮ ਕਲੇਮ ਸਿੱਧੇ ਤੌਰ ’ਤੇ ਰੱਦ ਕਰ ਦਿਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਪਿਛਲੇ ਦਿਨੀਂ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ 30 ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਿੱਠੀਆਂ ਭੇਜ ਕੇ ਦਾਅਵੇ ਅਯੋਗ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਜ਼ਿਕਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਪਰ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਅੰਕੜਾ ਵਧਦਾ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
