Chandigarh : ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਕੈਪਟਨ ਅਮਰਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਅੱਜ ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਰਾਜਨਾਥ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰਦਾਸਪੁਰ ਜਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿਚ ਡੱਲਾ ਗੋਰੀਆਂ ਵਿਖੇ ਸੈਨਿਕ ਸਕੂਲ ਸਥਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕੀਤੇ ਸਮਝੌਤਾ ਪੱਤਰ (ਐਮ.ਓ.ਏ.) ਨੂੰ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਮਨਜੂਰੀ ਦੇਣ ਅਤੇ ਬਠਿੰਡਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਤੀਜੇ ਸੈਨਿਕ ਸਕੂਲ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨਗੀ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।
ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਖੇ ਇਕ ਪੱਤਰ ਵਿਚ ਕੈਪਟਨ ਅਮਰਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸੂਬਾ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਮੰਤਰਾਲੇ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨਗੀ ਪੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਾਰ ਤੀਜੇ Sainik School ਲਈ ਐਮ.ਓ.ਏ. ਉਤੇ ਹਸਤਾਖ਼ਰ ਕਰੇਗੀ।
ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸੂਬਾ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਸੈਨਿਕ ਸਕੂਲ ਦੀ ਸਥਾਪਨਾ ਲਈ ਡੱਲਾ ਗੋਰੀਆਂ (ਜਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਗੁਰਦਾਸਪੁਰ) ਵਿਖੇ 40 ਏਕੜ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਅਲਾਟ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਝੌਤਾ ਪੱਤਰ ਉਤੇ ਦਸਤਖ਼ਤ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਮੰਤਰਾਲੇ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਬਕਾ-ਸੈਨਿਕ ਭਲਾਈ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਕੋਲ ਸੌਂਪਿਆ ਜਾ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਹੈ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ, ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਾਏ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਖਾਹਿਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੂਰਤੀ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਕਾਫੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
ਮਾਲਵਾ, ਦੋਆਬਾ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਝਾ ਖੇਤਰ ਜੋ ਸੂਬੇ ਦੀ ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਤੌਰ ਉਤੇ ਭੂਗੋਲਿਕ ਵੰਡ ਹਨ, ਵਿਚ ਘੱਟੋ-ਘੱਟ ਇਕ ਸੈਨਿਕ ਸਕੂਲ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਉਤੇ ਜੋਰ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਇਹ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਬਠਿੰਡਾ ਵਿਚ ਤੀਜਾ ਸੈਨਿਕ ਸਕੂਲ ਇਸ ਲੋੜ ਨੂੰ ਢੁਕਵੇਂ ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸੈਨਿਕ ਸਕੂਲ ਵੱਕਾਰੀ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਹਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੁਲਕ ਭਰ ਵਿਚ ਬੱਚਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਵਿਚ ਉਚ ਮਿਆਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਰੰਤਰ ਬਰਕਰਾਰ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਇਹ ਸਕੂਲ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੰਮੇਵਾਰ ਨਾਗਰਿਕ ਬਣਨ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਧਾਰਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਤਾਲੀਮ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਅੱਜ ਹਥਿਆਰਬੰਦ ਸੈਨਾਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਅਹੁਦਿਆਂ ਉਤੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਸੈਨਿਕ ਸਕੂਲ, ਕਪੂਰਥਲਾ ਹੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦਾ ਇਕ ਸੈਨਿਕ ਸਕੂਲ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਾਲ 1961 ਵਿਚ ਸਥਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਹੀ ਫੌਜ ਵਿਚ ਜਾਣ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਲਕ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਮਿਸਾਲੀ ਜਜ਼ਬੇ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਸੂਬੇ ਵਿਚ ਹੋਰ ਸੈਨਿਕ ਸਕੂਲ ਸਥਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣ ਦੀ ਫੌਰੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ।
