ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ ਨੇ 24 ਸਾਲਾਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਫਾਈਨਲ ‘ਚ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਬਣਾਈ, ਭਾਰਤ ਅਤੇ ਆਸਟ੍ਰੇਲੀਆ ਵਿਚਾਲੇ ਅੱਜ ਦੂਜਾ
ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ ਨੇ ਮੰਗਲਵਾਰ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਡਰ-19 ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਕੱਪ 2022 ਦੇ ਸੈਮੀਫਾਈਨਲ ‘ਚ ਅਫਗਾਨਿਸਤਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾ ਕੇ ਫਾਈਨਲ ‘ਚ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ। ਬੇਹੱਦ ਰੋਮਾਂਚਕ ਮੈਚ ‘ਚ ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ ਨੇ ਡੀਆਰਐੱਸ ਨਿਯਮ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ ‘ਤੇ ਸਿਰਫ਼ 15 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜਿੱਤ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ ਨੇ 24 ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਲੰਬੇ ਇੰਤਜ਼ਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਅੰਡਰ-19 ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਕੱਪ ਦੇ ਖਿਤਾਬੀ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ‘ਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਬਣਾ ਲਈ ਹੈ। ਅੱਜ ਭਾਰਤ ਦਾ ਦੂਜਾ ਸੈਮੀਫਾਈਨਲ ਮੈਚ ਆਸਟ੍ਰੇਲੀਆ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਅੱਜ ਦਾ ਮੈਚ ਜਿੱਤਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਟੀਮ ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਤਰੇਗੀ।
ਸਪਿੰਨਰ ਰੇਹਾਨ ਅਹਿਮਦ ਨੇ 46ਵੇਂ ਓਵਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਿੰਨ ਵਿਕਟਾਂ ਲਈਆਂ ਜਦੋਂ ਅਫਗਾਨਿਸਤਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਰੀ ਦਸ ਗੇਂਦਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ 18 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਬਣਾਉਣੀਆਂ ਸਨ। ਦੋ ਸਾਲ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਦੱਖਣੀ ਅਫਰੀਕਾ ‘ਚ ਹੋਏ ਟੂਰਨਾਮੈਂਟ ‘ਚ ਨੌਵੇਂ ਸਥਾਨ ‘ਤੇ ਰਹੀ ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਜ਼ਬਰਦਸਤ ਵਾਪਸੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਅਫਗਾਨਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਹੁਣ ਕੂਲੀਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੀਜੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਦਾ ਮੈਚ ਖੇਡੇਗੀ।
ਦੋ ਸੁਪਰ ਲੀਗ ਸੈਮੀਫਾਈਨਲ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਮੈਚ ਮੀਂਹ ਕਾਰਨ ਦੇਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਇਆ। ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ ਨੇ ਟਾਸ ਜਿੱਤ ਕੇ ਬੱਲੇਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਅਫ਼ਗਾਨਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੇ ਗੇਂਦਬਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੇ ਚੰਗੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੱਖਣੀ ਅਫ਼ਰੀਕਾ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਕੁਆਰਟਰ ਫਾਈਨਲ ਵਿੱਚ 88 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਜੈਕਬ ਬੈਥਲ ਨੂੰ ਨਵੀਦ ਜ਼ਦਰਾਨ ਨੇ ਸਸਤੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈੱਗ ਬੀਅਰ ਆਊਟ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਕਪਤਾਨ ਟੌਮ ਪਰਸਟ ਵੀ ਜਲਦੀ ਆਊਟ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਸਕੋਰ 56 ਦੌੜਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਦੋ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
ਜਾਰਜ ਥਾਮਸ ਨੇ 50 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ ਪਰ ਨੂਰ ਅਹਿਮਦ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਗੇਂਦ ‘ਤੇ ਆਊਟ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। ਜਦੋਂ ਵਿਲੀਅਮ ਲੈਕਸਟਨ ਨੂੰ ਨਵੀਦ ਨੇ ਕਲੀਨ ਬੋਲਡ ਕੀਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਸੌ ਦੇ ਸਕੋਰ ‘ਤੇ ਪੰਜ ਵਿਕਟਾਂ ਡਿੱਗ ਚੁੱਕੀਆਂ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਫਿਰ ਮੀਂਹ ਪਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਚ ਨੂੰ 47 ਓਵਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਪਿਆ। ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ ਲਈ ਜਾਰਜ ਬੇਲ ਅਤੇ ਐਲੇਕਸ ਹਾਰਟਨ ਨੇ 95 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਾਂਝੇਦਾਰੀ ਕਰਕੇ ਟੀਮ ਨੂੰ 231 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਇਆ। ਅਫਗਾਨਿਸਤਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਡਕਵਰਥ – ਲੁਈਸ ਵਿਧੀ ਤੋਂ ਸੰਸ਼ੋਧਿਤ ਟੀਚਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਅਸਫਲ ਰਿਹਾ।
ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ ਦੇ ਤੇਜ਼ ਗੇਂਦਬਾਜ਼ ਜੋਸ਼ ਬੋਇਡਨ ਨੇ ਪਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਤੀਜੀ ਗੇਂਦ ‘ਤੇ ਵਿਕਟ ਲਈ। ਅੱਲ੍ਹਾ ਨੂਰ ਨੇ ਆਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਛੱਕਾ ਲਗਾ ਕੇ ਦਬਾਅ ਨੂੰ ਘੱਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਅਰਧ ਸੈਂਕੜੇ ਵਾਲੀ ਪਾਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੱਠ ਚੌਕੇ ਜੜੇ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਮੁਹੰਮਦ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਦੇ ਰਨ ਆਊਟ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਅਫਗਾਨਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੀ ਪਾਰੀ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਹੋ ਗਈ। ਨੂਰ 60 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਆਊਟ ਹੋ ਗਏ।
ਅਬਦੁਲ ਹਾਦੀ ਨੇ ਅਜੇਤੂ 37 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਟੀਮ ਨੂੰ 200 ਦੇ ਪਾਰ ਪਹੁੰਚਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਪਰ ਅਹਿਮਦ ਨੇ ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਗੇਂਦਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ ਨੂੰ 1998 ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਵਾਰ ਅੰਡਰ-19 ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਕੱਪ ਫਾਈਨਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਇਆ। ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ ਨੇ 1998 ਵਿੱਚ ਖ਼ਿਤਾਬ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ ਸੀ।
