ਬਾਸੇਟਰੇ (ਸੇਂਟ ਕਿਟਸ)। ਭਾਰਤੀ ਕਪਤਾਨ ਰੋਹਿਤ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਗੇਂਦਬਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੱਖੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਚ ਦੇ ਅਹਿਮ ਪਲਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੁਨਰ ਦਿਖਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਵੀ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। ਰੋਹਿਤ ਦੀ ਟਿੱਪਣੀ ਵੈਸਟਇੰਡੀਜ਼ (IND vs WI 2nd T20I) ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਦੂਜੇ ਟੀ-20 ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਮੈਚ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਅਵੇਸ਼ ਖਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਰੀ ਓਵਰ ਦੇਣ ਦੇ ਫੈਸਲੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਆਈ ਹੈ। ਘੱਟ ਸਕੋਰ ਵਾਲੇ ਇਸ ਮੈਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਰੀ ਓਵਰ ਵਿੱਚ 10 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਦਾ ਬਚਾਅ ਕਰਨਾ ਪਿਆ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਤਜਰਬੇਕਾਰ ਭੁਵਨੇਸ਼ਵਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਦੀ ਬਜਾਏ ਰੋਹਿਤ ਨੇ ਅਵੇਸ਼ ਖਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਗੇਂਦ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਗੇਂਦ ਨੋ-ਬਾਲ ਰਹੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਗਲੇ ਦੋ ਗੇਂਦਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਛੱਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਚੌਕੇ ਜੜੇ।
ਵਾਰਨਰ ਪਾਰਕ ‘ਚ ਖੇਡੇ ਗਏ ਇਸ ਮੈਚ ‘ਚ ਭਾਰਤ ਨੂੰ 5 ਵਿਕਟਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹਾਰ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਪਿਆ। ਕਪਤਾਨ ਰੋਹਿਤ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਮੈਚ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਕਿਹਾ, ‘ਇਹ ਮੌਕਾ ਦੇਣ ਬਾਰੇ ਹੈ। ਅਸੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਭੁਵਨੇਸ਼ਵਰ ਕੀ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅਵੇਸ਼ ਜਾਂ ਅਰਸ਼ਦੀਪ ਨੂੰ ਮੌਕਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹੋਣਗੇ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤ ਲਈ ਡੈਥ ਓਵਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੇਂਦਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਕੀ ਮਤਲਬ ਹੈ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ, ‘ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਈ.ਪੀ.ਐੱਲ. ਇਹ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇੱਕ ਮੈਚ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਘਬਰਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੌਕਾ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤ ਹੈ।” ਰੋਹਿਤ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਬੱਲੇਬਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੇ ਬੱਲੇਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਕੂਲ ਵਿਕਟ ‘ਤੇ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਚੰਗਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਮੀਦ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਜਲਦੀ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਫਾਰਮ ‘ਚ ਵਾਪਸ ਆਉਣਗੇ।
ਭਾਰਤੀ ਕਪਤਾਨ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ‘ਅਸੀਂ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਦੌੜਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ। ਅਸੀਂ ਚੰਗੀ ਬੱਲੇਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ। ਪਿੱਚ ਬੱਲੇਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਲਈ ਚੰਗੀ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਚੰਗਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਪਰ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵੀ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕੁਝ ਨਵਾਂ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ, ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਸਫਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ. ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਗਲਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਾਂਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਧਾਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ।
ਵੈਸਟਇੰਡੀਜ਼ ਦੇ ਤੇਜ਼ ਗੇਂਦਬਾਜ਼ ਓਬੇਦ ਮੈਕਕੋਏ ਨੇ 17 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੇ 6 ਵਿਕਟਾਂ ਲਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਟੀਮ 138 ਦੌੜਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਆਊਟ ਹੋ ਗਈ। ਰੋਹਿਤ ਨੇ ਵੈਸਟਇੰਡੀਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਆਸਾਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਟੀਚੇ ਤੱਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਹੁੰਚਣ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੇਂਦਬਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਤਾਰੀਫ ਕੀਤੀ। ਭਾਰਤੀ ਕਪਤਾਨ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ‘ਮੈਨੂੰ ਟੀਮ ‘ਤੇ ਮਾਣ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਆਸਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਛੋਟੇ ਟੀਚੇ ਦਾ ਬਚਾਅ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਉਤਰਦੇ ਹੋ। ਇਹ ਟੀਚਾ 13-14 ਓਵਰਾਂ ‘ਚ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਰੀ ਓਵਰ ਤੱਕ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ। ਵਿਕਟਾਂ ਲੈਣਾ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਸੀ। ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਰਣਨੀਤੀ ਬਣਾਈ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਗੇਂਦਬਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਪਾਲਣ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਰੋਹਿਤ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ‘ਮੈਂ ਗੇਂਦਬਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਤੋਂ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹਾਂ ਪਰ ਬੱਲੇਬਾਜ਼ੀ ‘ਚ ਕੁਝ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਰੱਖਣ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਫਿਰ ਦੁਹਰਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੱਲੇਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹਾਂਗੇ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਕੁਝ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਜੇਕਰ ਨਤੀਜਾ ਅਨੁਕੂਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਤਾਂ ਘਬਰਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਲੋੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਅਸੀਂ ਇਕ ਹਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਦਲਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਾਂ।” ਵੈਸਟਇੰਡੀਜ਼ ਨੇ 5 ਵਿਕਟਾਂ ‘ਤੇ 141 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਪੰਜ ਮੈਚਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੀਰੀਜ਼ 1-1 ਨਾਲ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਕਰ ਲਈ।
