ਇਟਲੀ ‘ਚ ਖੇਤ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਮਾਮਲੇ ‘ਚ ਦੋ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਨਾਗਰਿਕ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ
ਡੈਸਕ- ਇਟਲੀ ਵਿਚ ਭਾਰਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਇਕ ਵੱਡੀ ਕਾਮਯਾਬੀ ਮਿਲੀ ਹੈ। ਦਰਅਸਲ ਇਟਲੀ ਵਿਚ 33 ਭਾਰਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ਼ੁਲਾਮੀ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਕਤ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਵੇਰੋਨਾ ਸੂਬੇ ਵਿਚ 33 ਭਾਰਤੀ ਖੇਤ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਿਹਾਅ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਹੈ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਭਾਰਤੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਗ਼ੁਲਾਮਾਂ ਵਰਗਾ ਸਲੂਕ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਦਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ਼ੁਲਾਮਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਦੋ ਲੋਕਾਂ ’ਤੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਗਾਏ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਕਰੀਬ ਪੰਜ ਲੱਖ ਯੂਰੋ ਜ਼ਬਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਇਟਲੀ ’ਚ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੰਗ-ਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਮਾਮਲਾ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਇਆ ਜਦੋਂ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਮਸ਼ੀਨ ’ਚ ਹੱਥ ਕੱਟਣ ਨਾਲ ਇਕ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਸੀ।
ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਦਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ਼ੁਲਾਮ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਗਰੋਹ ਦਾ ਆਗੂ ਇਕ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਹੀ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਦੇ ਵਾਅਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਟਲੀ ਲਿਆ ਕੇ ਫਸਾਇਆ। ਕਾਮਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਵਾਅਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਮੌਸਮੀ ਵਰਕ ਪਰਮਿਟ ’ਤੇ ਇਟਲੀ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰੇਕ ਨੂੰ 17,000 ਯੂਰੋ ਮਿਲਣਗੇ ਪਰ ਇਥੇ ਭਾਰਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਛੁੱਟੀ ਦੇ 10-12 ਘੰਟੇ ਖੇਤਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਗ਼ੁਲਾਮਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਮਜਬੂਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਇਸ ਦੇ ਬਦਲੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਖੇਤ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਚਾਰ ਯੂਰੋ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਘੰਟਾ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰੀ ਦਿਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਸੀ। ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇਥੇ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰੀ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਸੀ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗਰੋਹ ਨੇ ਕਰਜ਼ੇ ਦੇ ਜਾਲ ਵਿਚ ਫਸਾ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਤਕ ਉਹ ਅਪਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕਰਜ਼ੇ ਅਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਉਦੋਂ ਤਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਜਰਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲੇਗੀ।
ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਦਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਜਾਂਚ ਤੋਂ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕੁੱਝ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਕਾਮਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਥਾਈ ਵਰਕ ਪਰਮਿਟ ਲਈ 13,000 ਯੂਰੋ ਵਾਧੂ ਅਦਾ ਕਰਨੇ ਪੈਣਗੇ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜਦੋਂ ਤਕ ਇਹ ਰਕਮ ਅਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਉਦੋਂ ਤਕ ਮੁਫ਼ਤ ਵਿਚ ਕੰਮ ਕਰੋ। ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਅਦਾਇਗੀ ਕਰਨੀ ਅਸੰਭਵ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਗਰੋਹ ’ਤੇ ਗ਼ੁਲਾਮੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੋਸ਼ਣ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲੱਗੇ ਹਨ।
ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਾਮਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਧੂਆ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰੀ ਲਈ ਮਜਬੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਵਿਚ ਦੋ ਭਾਰਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਹਨ। ਮੀਡੀਆ ਰਿਪੋਰਟਾਂ ’ਚ ਇਹ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਕੱੁਝ ਦਿਨ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇਕ ਸਿੱਖ ਖੇਤ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਨਾਲ ਦੇਸ਼ ਹਿੱਲ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
