ਬੀਤੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੇ ਸੁਪਰਸਟਾਰ ਰਹੇ ਜਤਿੰਦਰ ਅੱਜ ਆਪਣਾ 80ਵਾਂ ਜਨਮਦਿਨ ਮਨਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਰੀਅਰ ‘ਚ ਕਈ ਸੁਪਰਹਿੱਟ ਫਿਲਮਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਖੋ-ਵੱਖਰੇ ਡਾਂਸਿੰਗ ਸਟਾਈਲ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਅਦਾਕਾਰੀ ਕਾਰਨ ਜਤਿੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਲੀਵੁੱਡ ਦਾ ‘ਜੰਪਿੰਗ ਜੈਕ’ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਣ ਲੱਗਾ। ਬਹੁਤ ਘੱਟ ਲੋਕ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਜਤਿੰਦਰ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਇੱਕ ਜੌਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਸਲੀ ਨਾਮ ਰਵੀ ਕਪੂਰ ਹੈ। ਫਿਲਮਾਂ ‘ਚ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਆਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਾਂ ਬਦਲ ਲਿਆ। ਜਤਿੰਦਰ ਅੱਜ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਸੁਪਰਸਟਾਰ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਇਕ ਸਮੇਂ ਉਹ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਵੀ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਅਜਿਹੇ ‘ਚ ਅੱਜ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਨਮਦਿਨ ‘ਤੇ ਆਓ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੁਝ ਖਾਸ ਗੱਲਾਂ। ਨਾਲ ਹੀ, ਹੇਮਾ ਮਾਲਿਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਅਦਾਕਾਰਾ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਸੀ।
ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦੇ 20 ਸਾਲ ਚਾਵਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁਜ਼ਾਰੇ
ਜਿਤੇਂਦਰ ਲਈ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਤਿਆਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ, ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤੀ ਦੌਰ ‘ਚ ਉਹ ਮੁੰਬਈ ਦੇ ‘ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਸਦਾਮ ਚਾਵਲ’ ‘ਚ ਰਹੇ। ਉਸਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਲਗਭਗ 20 ਸਾਲ ਇੱਥੇ ਬਿਤਾਏ। ਜਤਿੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਪਨ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਫਿਲਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿਲਚਸਪੀ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਅਕਸਰ ਫਿਲਮਾਂ ਦੇਖਣ ਲਈ ਘਰੋਂ ਭੱਜ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਸਨ। 1959 ‘ਚ ਫਿਲਮ ‘ਨਵਰੰਗ’ ‘ਚ ਜਤਿੰਦਰ ਨੇ ਛੋਟੀ ਜਿਹੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਈ, ਕਈ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਜਤਿੰਦਰ ਨੇ ਖੁਦ ਨੂੰ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸਖਤ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਅਦ ‘ਚ ਵੱਡਾ ਮੁਕਾਮ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਵਿਆਹ ਦੀ ਪਲੈਨਿੰਗ ਚੇਨਈ ‘ਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ
ਫਿਲਮ ‘ਦੁਲਹਨ’ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੂਟਿੰਗ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਜਿਤੇਂਦਰ ਨੇ ਹੇਮਾ ਮਾਲਿਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਲ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ, ਹੇਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਤਿੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਆਹ ਤੈਅ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਹੇਮਾ ਮਾਲਿਨੀ ਧਰਮਿੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਪਸੰਦ ਕਰਦੀ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਧਰਮਿੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸੀ। ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਹੇਮਾ ਮਾਲਿਨੀ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਕ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਵਿਆਹ ਲਈ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਿਆਰ ਸਨ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਜਤਿੰਦਰ ਆਪਣੀ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਪਤਨੀ ਸ਼ੋਭਾ ਕਪੂਰ ਨਾਲ ਰਿਲੇਸ਼ਨਸ਼ਿਪ ‘ਚ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਖਬਰਾਂ ਆਈਆਂ ਕਿ ਜਤਿੰਦਰ ਅਤੇ ਹੇਮਾ ਮਾਲਿਨੀ ਨੇ ਵਿਆਹ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਚੇਨਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ।

ਜਦੋਂ ਧਰਮਿੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਹੇਮਾ ਮਾਲਿਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਜਤਿੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਵਿਆਹ ਬਾਰੇ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਗੁੱਸੇ ‘ਚ ਆ ਗਏ। ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਣ ਲਈ, ਉਸਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਚਾਲ ਚਲੀ. ਧਰਮਿੰਦਰ ਸ਼ੋਭਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਦਰਾਸ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ। ਉੱਥੇ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਕੇ ਸ਼ੋਭਾ ਨੇ ਕਥਿਤ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਹੰਗਾਮਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਜਤਿੰਦਰ ਅਤੇ ਹੇਮਾ ਦਾ ਵਿਆਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਿਆ। ਧਰਮਿੰਦਰ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਨਸ਼ੇ ‘ਚ ਸਨ, ਆਪਣੀ ਬੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਆਹ ‘ਚ ਗੜਬੜੀ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਹੇਮਾ ਮਾਲਿਨੀ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਧੱਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਘਰੋਂ ਕੱਢ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ, ਜਿਤੇਂਦਰ ਅਤੇ ਹੇਮਾ ਦਾ ਵਿਆਹ ਆਖਿਰਕਾਰ ਟੁੱਟ ਗਿਆ। ‘ਦਸਵੀ’ ਇੱਕ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਇਰਾਦਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਫ਼ ਅਤੇ ਪੱਕਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਝ ਕਮੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੇ ਅੰਕ ਲੈਣ ਤੋਂ ਰੋਕਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
