ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ: ਕੇਐੱਲ ਰਾਹੁਲ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਸਾਲ ਟੀ-20 ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਕੱਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਈ ਹਾਰ ਦਾ ਬਦਲਾ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਏਸ਼ੀਆ ਕੱਪ ਦੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਮੈਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਇੱਕ ਬੱਲੇਬਾਜ਼ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਚੁਣੌਤੀ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੈ। ਰਾਹੁਲ ਨੇ 2022 ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਟੀ-20 ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਮੈਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਖੇਡਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਓਪਨਰ ਦੇ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਉਸੇ ਹਮਲਾਵਰ ਬੱਲੇਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਵਾਲੀ ਮਾਨਸਿਕਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਕਰਨੀ ਪਵੇਗੀ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਹਾਲ ਹੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
ਸ਼ੁੱਕਰਵਾਰ (26 ਅਗਸਤ) ਨੂੰ ਟੀਮ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਦੇ ਉਪ ਕਪਤਾਨ ਕੇਐੱਲ ਰਾਹੁਲ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰੈੱਸ ਕਾਨਫਰੰਸ ‘ਚ ਕਿਹਾ, ”ਹਰ ਟੀਮ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਕੱਪ ਵਰਗੇ ਟੂਰਨਾਮੈਂਟ ‘ਚ ਜਿੱਤ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਬਦਕਿਸਮਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਸਾਲ ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਇਆ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਏਸ਼ੀਆ ਕੱਪ 2022 ‘ਚ ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਬਦਲਾ ਲੈਣ ਦਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਅਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਮੈਚ ਦਾ ਇੰਤਜ਼ਾਰ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ।” ਰਾਹੁਲ ਸਰਜਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਕੋਵਿਡ-19 ਇਨਫੈਕਸ਼ਨ ਕਾਰਨ ਖੇਡ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਸਨ। 30 ਸਾਲਾ ਸਟਾਰ ਬੱਲੇਬਾਜ਼ ਨੇ ਜ਼ਿੰਬਾਬਵੇ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਵਾਪਸੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਟੀਮ ਨੂੰ ਤਿੰਨ ਮੈਚਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਨਡੇ ਸੀਰੀਜ਼ ਜਿੱਤਣ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਇੰਡੀਅਨ ਪ੍ਰੀਮੀਅਰ ਲੀਗ (ਆਈ.ਪੀ.ਐੱਲ.) ‘ਚ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਚਾਰ-ਪੰਜ ਸਾਲਾਂ ‘ਚ ਕਾਫੀ ਦੌੜਾਂ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਰਾਹੁਲ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ”ਇਹ ਟੂਰਨਾਮੈਂਟ ਖੇਡਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਆਤਮਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੁਨਰ ‘ਤੇ ਧਿਆਨ ਦੇ ਸਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਕੋਈ ਫਰਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਨੈੱਟ ‘ਤੇ ਕਿੰਨੀ ਚੰਗੀ ਬੱਲੇਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਕ੍ਰੀਜ਼ ‘ਤੇ ਖੁਦ ਨੂੰ ਚੁਣੌਤੀ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਟੂਰਨਾਮੈਂਟ ਮੌਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰੇਗਾ।
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ”ਚੋਟ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਾਪਸੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਜ਼ਿੰਬਾਬਵੇ ਦਾ ਦੌਰਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲੜੀ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸਮਝਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਦਦ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਕਿੰਨਾ ਠੀਕ ਹੋਇਆ ਹਾਂ। ਇਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਆਤਮਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਫਾਰਮ ਦਾ ਮੁਲਾਂਕਣ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕ੍ਰੀਜ਼ ‘ਤੇ ਹਿੱਟ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਏਸ਼ੀਆ ਕੱਪ ‘ਚ ਭਾਰਤ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ 14 ਵਾਰ ਆਹਮੋ-ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, ਜਿਸ ‘ਚ ਭਾਰਤ ਨੇ 8 ਵਾਰ ਜਿੱਤ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਜਦਕਿ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਸਿਰਫ 5 ਜਿੱਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਦਰਜ ਕਰ ਸਕਿਆ ਹੈ। ਐਤਵਾਰ (28 ਅਗਸਤ) ਨੂੰ ਰੋਹਿਤ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਾਲੀ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਟੀਮ ਕੋਲ ਲੀਡ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਰਾਹੁਲ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ”ਅਸੀਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਹਾਂ। ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਨਾਤੇ, ਅਸੀਂ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੇ ਟੂਰਨਾਮੈਂਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰਤ-ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਮੈਚ ਦੀ ਉਡੀਕ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਸਾਡੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਚੰਗੀ ਟੀਮ ਨਾਲ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡੀ ਚੁਣੌਤੀ ਹੈ।”
