Toronto- ਟੋਰਾਂਟੋ ਦੇ ਪੂਰਬੀ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਈਪਰ ਆਰਮਜ਼ ਨਾਮਕ ਇੱਕ ਪਬ ‘ਚ ਤਿੰਨ ਹਮਲਾਵਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਿਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਚੇਤਾਵਨੀ ਦੇ ਅਚਾਨਕ ਗੋਲੀਬਾਰੀ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਘੱਟੋ-ਘੱਟ 12 ਲੋਕ ਜ਼ਖਮੀ ਹੋ ਗਏ। ਟੋਰਾਂਟੋ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਸ਼ੁੱਕਰਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਤਫ਼ਤੀਸ਼ ਜਾਰੀ, ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਦੀ ਚੇਤਾਵਨੀ
ਟੋਰਾਂਟੋ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੁੱਕਰਵਾਰ ਰਾਤ ਕਰੀਬ 10:40 ਵਜੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਗ੍ਰੈੱਸ ਐਵਿਨਿਊ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਰਪੋਰੇਟ ਡਰਾਈਵ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਗੋਲੀਬਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਸੂਚਨਾ ਮਿਲੀ। ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ 11 ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਜ਼ਖਮੀ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਪੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ 12 ਲੋਕ ਇਸ ਹਮਲੇ ‘ਚ ਜ਼ਖਮੀ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।
ਇੱਕ ਸ਼ੱਕੀ ਕਾਰ ‘ਚ ਹੋਇਆ ਫ਼ਰਾਰ, ਤਿੰਨ ਹਮਲਾਵਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਭਾਲ ਜਾਰੀ
ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਸ਼ੱਕੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਰੰਗ ਦੀ ਕਾਰ ‘ਚ ਭੱਜਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਫ਼ਰਾਰ ਹੈ। ਟੋਰਾਂਟੋ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਨੀਵਾਰ ਸਵੇਰੇ ‘X’ (ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਟਵਿੱਟਰ) ‘ਤੇ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਤਿੰਨ ਹਮਲਾਵਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਭਾਲ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਲਦ ਹੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।

ਟੋਰਾਂਟੋ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਸਰਵਿਸ ਦੇ ਸੁਪਰਡੈਂਟ ਪੌਲ ਮੈਕਇੰਟਾਇਰ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਰਾਤ 10:40 ਵਜੇ ਪਾਈਪਰ ਆਰਮਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੋਲੀਬਾਰੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਈ ਐਮਰਜੈਂਸੀ ਕਾਲਾਂ ਆਈਆਂ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ “ਤਿੰਨ ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮ ਪਬ ‘ਚ ਵੜੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਥੇ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਲੋਕਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਅਚਾਨਕ ਗੋਲੀਬਾਰੀ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ।”
ਹਮਲਾਵਰ ਹਥਿਆਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਲੈਸ, 12 ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਜ਼ਖਮੀ
ਮੈਕਇੰਟਾਇਰ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ “ਇਕ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਕੋਲ਼ ਅਸਾਲਟ ਰਾਈਫ਼ਲ ਵਰਗਾ ਹਥਿਆਰ ਸੀ, ਜਦਕਿ ਦੂਜੇ ਦੋ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਹੈਂਡਗਨ ਨਾਲ ਲੈਸ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖ਼ਲ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੀਵਾਹ ਗੋਲੀਬਾਰੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ।”
“ਭਾਗਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਰਹੇ ਪੀੜਤ, ਮੌਤ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਨਹੀਂ”
ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ 12 ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮੀਆਂ ‘ਚੋਂ 6 ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੋਲੀ ਲੱਗੀ, ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਖ਼ਤਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਹੈ। ਬਾਕੀ 6 ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਟੁੱਟੇ ਕੱਚ ਕਾਰਨ ਚੋਟਾਂ ਆਈਆਂ। ਮੈਕਇੰਟਾਇਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਪੀੜਤ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਭਾਗਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਰਹੇ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਘਟਨਾ ‘ਚ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ ਜਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਗਈ।”
