ਸੂਤਰਾਂ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਅਦਾਕਾਰ ਦੀਪ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹੇ! ਅਦਾਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਸੜਕ ਹਾਦਸੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਸੂਤਰਾਂ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਦੀਪ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਸਕਾਰਪੀਓ ਕਾਰ ‘ਚ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ, ਜੋ ਕੁੰਡਲੀ-ਮਾਨੇਸਰ ਹਾਈਵੇ ‘ਤੇ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਨੇੜੇ ਇਕ ਟਰੱਕ ਨਾਲ ਟਕਰਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਖਬਰ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ੰਸਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਦਮੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਰਿਪੋਰਟਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਦੀਪ 2 ਹੋਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਇਕ ਔਰਤ ਸੀ। ਦੀਪ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਸਮੇਤ ਦੋ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਮੌਕੇ ‘ਤੇ ਹੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ ਦੀ ਸੂਚਨਾ ਹੈ।
ਦੀਪ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ 1984 ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁਕਤਸਰ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਅੰਦੋਲਨ 2020-2021 ਦੌਰਾਨ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਹਸਤੀ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਸਫਲ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਅਦਾਕਾਰੀ ਕੈਰੀਅਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸਨੇ 2015 ਵਿੱਚ ਫਿਲਮ ਰਮਤਾ ਜੋਗੀ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਫਿਲਮੀ ਕਰੀਅਰ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ। ਉਸਦੀ ਫਿਲਮ ‘ਜੋਰਾ 10 ਨੰਬਰੀਆ’ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ੰਸਕਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ੰਸਾ ਅਤੇ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਵੀਕਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਫਿਲਮੀ ਕਰੀਅਰ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਪੁਰਸਕਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। 2019 ਦੀਆਂ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਆਮ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਦੀਪ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਨੇ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਦਮ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰਦਾਸਪੁਰ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਦੇ ਸੰਸਦ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਸੰਨੀ ਦਿਓਲ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਹ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ 2020-21 ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸੁਰਖੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਇਆ ਸੀ। ਉਹ 26 ਜਨਵਰੀ 2021 ਨੂੰ ਲਾਲ ਕਿਲੇ, ਦਿੱਲੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਹੋਈ ਹਿੰਸਾ ਲਈ ਲੱਖਾ ਸਿਧਾਣਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਮੁੱਖ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਵੀ ਸੀ।
ਇਸ ਘਟਨਾ ਲਈ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰ ਠਹਿਰਾਇਆ। 26 ਜਨਵਰੀ, 2021 ਨੂੰ ਕਥਿਤ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਦੰਗਾ ਭੜਕਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਲਾਲ ਕਿਲ੍ਹੇ ‘ਤੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਝੰਡਾ ਲਹਿਰਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਵਿਚ ਦੀਪ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਢੁਕਵੀਂ ਜਾਂਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ 9 ਫਰਵਰੀ, 2021 ਨੂੰ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਦੋਸ਼ਾਂ ਤਹਿਤ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਵੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।
