ਡੈਸਕ- ਲੋਕ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣ ਨਤੀਜਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ 18ਵੀਂ ਲੋਕ ਸਭਾ ਦਾ ਗਠਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਨਰਿੰਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਨੇ ਤੀਜੀ ਵਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਵਜੋਂ ਸਹੁੰ ਚੁੱਕੀ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੈਬਨਿਟ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਰਹੇ ਸੰਸਦ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਵਜੋਂ ਸਹੁੰ ਚੁੱਕੀ। ਮੰਤਰੀ ਵਜੋਂ ਸਹੁੰ ਚੁੱਕਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਵਨੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਿੱਟੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਤੋਂ ਸਿੱਖ ਚਿਹਰੇ ਵਜੋਂ ਮੋਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਹੋਣਗੇ। ਲੋਕ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਬਿੱਟੂ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਤੋਂ ਹਾਰ ਗਏ ਸਨ ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਰਾਜ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਹੁਂ ਚੁੱਕਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮੋਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜਨਾਥ ਸਿੰਘ ਨਾਲ ਹੱਥ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਅਮਿਤ ਸ਼ਾਹ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਪੂਰਾ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਤਿੰਨ ਵਾਰ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੇ ਸੰਸਦ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਰਹੇ ਰਵਨੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਿੱਟੂ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਵਾਰ 2009 ਵਿੱਚ ਆਨੰਦਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਤੋਂ ਲੋਕ ਸਭਾ ਲਈ ਚੁਣੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਹ 2014 ਅਤੇ 2019 ਵਿੱਚ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਤੋਂ ਜਿੱਤੇ। ਹਾਲ ਹੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਲੋਕ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ, ਉਹ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਸਨ, ਪਰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਅਮਰਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਰਾਜਾ ਵੜਿੰਗ ਤੋਂ ਲਗਭਗ 20 ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਵੋਟਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹਾਰ ਗਏ ਸਨ।
ਬਿੱਟੂ ਮਹਿਜ਼ 11 ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਣ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ 20 ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਾਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ 31 ਅਗਸਤ 1995 ਨੂੰ ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਖਾਲਿਸਤਾਨ ਪੱਖੀ ਵੱਖਵਾਦੀਆਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਹੱਤਿਆ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਬਿੱਟੂ ਨੇ 2007 ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਰਾਹੁਲ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਨਾਲ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ। ਬਿੱਟੂ ਨੂੰ 2008 ਵਿੱਚ 33 ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਯੂਥ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਨਿਯੁਕਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਕੋਟਲਾ ਅਫਗਾਨਾ ਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਬਿੱਟੂ ਦਾ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦਾ ਆਗੂ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਭਾਜਪਾ ‘ਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ‘ਚ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਮਤਭੇਦ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਾਚਾ ਤੇਜ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਕੈਬਨਿਟ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਚੇਰੇ ਭਰਾ ਗੁਰਕੀਰਤ ਕੋਟਲੀ ਦੋ ਵਾਰ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਅਤੇ ਕੈਬਨਿਟ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਰਹਿ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ। ਦੋਵੇਂ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ।
ਖਾਲਿਸਤਾਨ ਪੱਖੀ ਕੱਟੜਪੰਥੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਆਵਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਜ਼ੋਰਦਾਰ ਆਲੋਚਕ ਮੰਨੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਬਿੱਟੂ ਨੂੰ ਕਈ ਵਾਰ ਧਮਕੀਆਂ ਮਿਲ ਚੁੱਕੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਰਵਨੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਿੱਟੂ ਨੇ 2017 ਦੀਆਂ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਜਲਾਲਾਬਾਦ ਤੋਂ ਤਤਕਾਲੀ ਉਪ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸੁਖਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਦਲ ਅਤੇ ‘ਆਪ’ ਦੇ ਸੂਬਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਮਾਨ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਲੜੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਤੀਜੇ ਨੰਬਰ ‘ਤੇ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।
