ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ- ਆਖਿਰਕਾਰ ਲੰਮੇ ਚੌੜੇ ਕਨੂੰਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਪਚੜੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਮੇਅਰ ਬਣਾ ਸਕੀ ਹੈ ।ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੀ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਸ਼ੈਲੀ ਓਬਰਾਏ ਨੇ ਮੇਅਰ ਦੇ ਅਹੁਦੇ ਲਈ ਚੋਣ ਜਿੱਤ ਲਈ ਹੈ। ਸ਼ੈਲੀ ਓਬਰਾਏ ਨੂੰ 150 ਵੋਟਾਂ ਮਿਲੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਸ਼ੈਲੀ ਓਬਰਾਏ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਦੇ ਪਟੇਲ ਨਗਰ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਦੇ ਵਾਰਡ ਨੰਬਰ 86 ਤੋਂ ਕੌਂਸਲਰ ਹਨ। 39 ਸਾਲਾ ਸ਼ੈਲੀ ਓਬਰਾਏ ਪੇਸ਼ੇ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ ਹੈ। ਸ਼ੈਲੀ ਓਬਰਾਏ ਨੇ ਪੀਐਚਡੀ ਤੱਕ ਦੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਉਥੇ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਵਾਰ ਕੌਂਸਲਰ ਚੁਣੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਸ਼ੈਲੀ ਓਬਰਾਏ ਸਿਰਫ਼ 269 ਵੋਟਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਚੋਣ ਜਿੱਤ ਗਏ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਟੇਲ ਨਗਰ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਦੇ ਵਾਰਡ ਨੰਬਰ 86 ਤੋਂ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਦੀ ਦੀਪਾਲੀ ਕਪੂਰ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾਇਆ ਸੀ।
ਦੱਸ ਦੇਈਏ ਕਿ ਬੁੱਧਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਵੇਰੇ 11.30 ਵਜੇ ਵੋਟਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਈ ਅਤੇ 2 ਘੰਟੇ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਸਮਾਂ ਚੱਲੀ। ਦਿੱਲੀ ਦੇ ਕੁੱਲ 10 ਨਾਮਜ਼ਦ ਸੰਸਦ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ, 14 ਨਾਮਜ਼ਦ ਵਿਧਾਇਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਦੇ 250 ਚੁਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਕੌਂਸਲਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ 241 ਨੇ ਮੇਅਰ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੋਟ ਪਾਈ। ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਸਦਨ ਦੇ ਆਗੂ ਮੁਕੇਸ਼ ਗੋਇਲ ਦੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ‘ਤੇ ਮੇਅਰ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ‘ਚ ਸਮਾਂ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਦੋ ਬੂਥਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਵੋਟਿੰਗ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ।
ਇਸ ਜਿੱਤ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਦੇ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਸੀਐਮ ਮਨੀਸ਼ ਸਿਸੋਦੀਆ ਨੇ ਟਵੀਟ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਿਖਿਆ- ਗੁੰਡੇ ਹਾਰ ਗਏ, ਜਨਤਾ ਜਿੱਤ ਗਈ। ਦਿੱਲੀ ਨਗਰ ਨਿਗਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਮੇਅਰ ਬਣਨ ਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਰਕਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਧਾਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰ ਫਿਰ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਤਹਿ ਦਿਲੋਂ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ। ‘ਆਪ’ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਮੇਅਰ ਸ਼ੈਲੀ ਓਬਰਾਏ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਈ।
ਦੱਸਣਯੋਗ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਸਾਲ 4 ਦਸੰਬਰ 2022 ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਲੀ MCD ਦੀਆਂ 250 ਸੀਟਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਵੋਟਾਂ ਪਈਆਂ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ 7 ਦਸੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਤੀਜੇ ਆਏ ਸਨ, ਜਿਸ ‘ਚ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਮਤ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਸੀ। ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਨੇ 250 ‘ਚੋਂ 134 ਸੀਟਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਜਿੱਤ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ, ਜਦਕਿ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਜਨਤਾ ਪਾਰਟੀ 104 ਸੀਟਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਸਿਮਟ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਮੇਅਰ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਲਈ 6 ਜਨਵਰੀ, 24 ਜਨਵਰੀ ਅਤੇ 6 ਫਰਵਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਮੀਟਿੰਗਾਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਸਨ। ਉਦੋਂ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਨੇਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਆਤਿਸ਼ੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਇਸ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਪਰੀਮ ਕੋਰਟ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਸੁਪਰੀਮ ਕੋਰਟ ਨੇ MCD ਦੀ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤੇ।
