ਯੂ.ਕੇ. ਦੇ ਵਰਕ ਵੀਜ਼ਾ ਲਈ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਦਾ ਨਵਾਂ ਟੈਸਟ ਲਾਗੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਸ ਕੀਤੇ ਬਗੈਰ ਅਰਜ਼ੀ ’ਤੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਜੀ ਹਾਂ, ਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਤੋਂ ਮਾਨਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਏਜੰਸੀਆਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਨਵਾਂ ‘ਸਿਕਿਓਰ ਇੰਗਲਿਸ਼ ਲੈਂਗੁਏਜ ਟੈਸਟ’ ਲਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਹੀ ਸਕਿਲਡ ਵੀਜ਼ਾ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀ ਅਧੀਨ ਅਰਜ਼ੀਆਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਧ ਸਕਣਗੀਆਂ। ਕੈਨੇਡੀਅਨ ਆਇਲਸ ਦੇ ਤਰਜ਼ ’ਤੇ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੋਲਣੀ, ਸੁਣਨੀ, ਪੜ੍ਹਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਲਿਖਣੀ ਲਾਜ਼ਮੀ ਕਰ ਦਿਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਨਿਯਮ 8 ਜਨਵਰੀ 2026 ਤੋਂ ਲਾਗੂ ਹੋਣਗੇ। ਯੂ.ਕੇ. ਦੇ ਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਸਮਾਜ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਮਕਸਦ ਤਹਿਤ ਨਵੀਆਂ ਸ਼ਰਤਾਂ ਲਾਗੂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਾ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸ਼ਬਾਨਾ ਮਹਿਮੂਦ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਯੂ.ਕੇ. ਦੀ ਤਰੱਕੀ ਵਿਚ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਪਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਇੱਛਕ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਵਿਚ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਲੋਕ ਬਣਦਾ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਪਾਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਖੁੰਝ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯੂ.ਕੇ. ਆਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੋ ਤਾਂ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਦਾ ਗਿਆਨ ਲਾਜ਼ਮੀ ਹੈ। ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਸਟੱਡੀ ਵੀਜ਼ਾ ’ਤੇ ਯੂ.ਕੇ. ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਗ੍ਰੈਜੁਏਟ ਲੈਵਲ ਦੀ ਜੌਬ ਲੱਭਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਮਿਲਦਾ 2 ਸਾਲ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਘਟਾ ਕੇ 18 ਮਹੀਨੇ ਕਰ ਦਿਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਪੀ.ਐਚ.ਡੀ. ਲੈਵਲ ਦੇ ਗ੍ਰੈਜੁਏਟਸ ਲਈ ਤਿੰਨ ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਮਿਆਦ ਜਾਰੀ ਰਹੇਗੀ। ਯੂਕੇ ਵੀਜ਼ਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿੱਤੀ ਤਬਦੀਲੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਣਾ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਹੈ।
