ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ AQI 1000 ਦੇ ਪਾਰ, ਪ੍ਰਦੂਸ਼ਣ ਵੱਧਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਈਮਰੀ ਸਕੂਲ ਹਫ਼ਤੇ ਭਰ ਲਈ ਬੰਦ
ਡੈਸਕ- ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਦੂਸ਼ਣ ਨੇ ਕਹਿਰ ਬਰਪਾਇਆ ਹੈ। ਲਾਹੌਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਏਅਰ ਕੁਆਲਿਟੀ ਇੰਡੈਕਸ (AQI) 1000 ਨੂੰ ਪਾਰ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਆਨ-ਫਾਨਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਕੰਪਨੀ ਨੇ ਲਾਹੌਰ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਇਮਰੀ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਹਫਤੇ ਲਈ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਖਤਰਨਾਕ ਮੰਨਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪੱਧਰ ਤੋਂ ਕਈ ਗੁਣਾ ਵੱਧ ਪ੍ਰਦੂਸ਼ਣ ਦੇ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਕਈ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ, ਲਾਹੌਰ ਦੀ 14 ਮਿਲੀਅਨ ਆਬਾਦੀ ਸਮੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਘਿਰੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰਦੂਸ਼ਣ ਹੇਠਲੀ-ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀ ਡੀਜ਼ਲ ਧੂੰਆਂ, ਮੌਸਮੀ ਪਰਾਲੀ ਜਲਣ ਨਾਲ ਨਿਕਲਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਧੂਏਂ ਤੇ ਸਰਦੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਠੰਡਕ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਕੋਹਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਦੂਸ਼ਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਿਸ਼ਰਣ ਹੈ।
IQAir ਦੇ ਅੰਕੜਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਏਅਰਕੁਆਲਿਟੀ ਇੰਡੈਕਸ ਸ਼ਨੀਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ 1,000 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ, ਜੋ “ਖਤਰਨਾਕ” ਮੰਨੇ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ 300 ਦੇ ਪੱਧਰ ਤੋਂ ਕਾਫੀ ਉੱਪਰ ਹੈ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਐਤਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ 1,000 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੀ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੇ “ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਦਰਜਾ” ਮੰਨਿਆ। ਲਾਹੌਰ ਦੇ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਜਹਾਂਗੀਰ ਅਨਵਰ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ, “ਅਗਲੇ ਛੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਮੌਸਮ ਪੂਰਵ ਅਨੁਮਾਨਤੋਂ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਹਵਾ ਦਾ ਪੈਟਰਨ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੀ ਰਹੇਗਾ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਲਾਹੌਰ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਈਵੇਟ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਹਫ਼ਤੇ ਲਈ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
ਸਥਾਨਕ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਫੇਸਲੇ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, 10 ਸਾਲ ਤੱਕ ਦੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਲਈ “ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਜ਼ਮਾਤਾਂ”, ਜਨਤਕ, ਨਿੱਜੀ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ… ਸੋਮਵਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ਨੀਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਹਫਤੇ ਲਈ ਬੰਦਗੀ। ਫੈਸਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅਗਲੇ ਸ਼ਨੀਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਫਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਦਾ ਅੰਦਾਜ਼ਾ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਨਿਰਧਾਰਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਸਕੂਲ ਬੰਦ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਮਿਆਦ ਵਧਾਉਣਾ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ।
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮਰੀਅਮ ਔਰੰਗਜ਼ੇਬ ਨੇ ਐਤਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਕਾਨਫ਼ਰੰਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਇਹ ਸਮੋਗ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਨੁਕਸਾਨਦਾਇਕ ਹੈ। ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਾਸਕ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅਸੀਂ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਜਮਾਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਿਹਤ ‘ਤੇ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਰੱਖ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ।’ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਹਸਪਤਾਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਮੋਗ ਕਾਉਂਟਰ ਸਥਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
ਡਬਲਯੂ.ਐਚ.ਓ. ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਲੰਬੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੱਕ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਨਾਲ ਸਟ੍ਰੋਕ, ਦਿਲ ਦੀ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ, ਫੇਫੜਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਕੈਂਸਰ ਅਤੇ ਕੈਂਸਰ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਬਿਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਐਤਵਾਰ ਦੀ ਸਵੇਰ PM2.5 ਦਾ ਪੱਧਰ ਘੱਟ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਸੀ। ਪਿਛਲੇ ਹਫ਼ਤੇ, ਪ੍ਰਾਂਤਕ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਏਜੇਂਸੀ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਚਾਰ “ਹੌਟ ਸਪੌਟ” ਵਿੱਚ ਨਵੀਆਂ ਪਾਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਘੋਸ਼ਣਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਪ੍ਰਦੂਸ਼ਣਕਾਰੀ ਦੋ-ਸਟ੍ਰੋਕ ਇੰਜਨ ਨਾਲ ਲੈਸ ਟੁਕ-ਟੁਕ ‘ਤੇ ਪਾਬੰਦੀ ਲਗਾਈ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਫਿਲਟਰ ਕੇ ਬਾਰਬੇਕਿਊ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਰੇਸਤਰਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਵੀ ਪਾਬੰਦੀ ਲਗਾਈ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
