ਪੀਲ ਰੀਜਨਲ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ‘ਫੋਰ ਬ੍ਰਦਰਜ਼’ ਨਾਮਕ ਇੱਕ ਸੰਗਠਿਤ ਅਪਰਾਧਿਕ ਗਰੁੱਪ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਤਲ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰੌਤੀ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ਾਂ ਹੇਠ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਇਹ ਗਰੁੱਪ ਬਰੈਂਪਟਨ, ਕੈਲੇਡਨ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਸੀਸਾਗਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੱਖਣੀ ਏਸ਼ੀਆਈ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨਾ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਹਿੰਸਕ ਵਾਰਦਾਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਜਾਮ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਮਈ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਗਰੁੱਪ ਦੇ 17 ਸ਼ੱਕੀ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਜਾਂਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ 21 ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ ਨੂੰ ਬਰੈਂਪਟਨ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰੀ ਅਦਾਰੇ ‘ਤੇ ਗੋਲੀਬਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ, ਜਿੱਥੋਂ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ 14 ਖੋਲ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤੇ ਸਨ।
