TV Punjab is committed to accuracy in everything we publish and broadcast. This page explains how we handle errors, how to report one, and — once corrections are issued — a record of them.
Our Commitment to Accuracy
Every story published or broadcast by TV Punjab is researched, fact-checked, and edited in line with our Editorial Standards. When we get something wrong, we say so clearly, promptly, and in a way our audience can find.
How We Handle Errors
When an error is identified, our editorial team verifies the correct information and updates the story as soon as possible. We distinguish between three types of changes:
- Correction — a factual error is fixed, and the story is marked to show that a correction was made.
- Clarification — the original information was not factually wrong, but the wording was unclear or open to misinterpretation, and we have revised it for clarity.
- Editor’s note — used for significant errors, or where a story has been substantially updated after publication, explaining what changed and why.
Minor errors that don’t affect the substance of a story (such as typos) are fixed without a formal correction notice. Errors of fact, attribution, or a claim made about a person or organization are always corrected formally, regardless of how minor they may seem.
How to Report an Error
If you believe something we’ve published or broadcast contains an error, please contact us at news@tvpunjab.com with a link to or description of the story and the specific issue. We review every report and aim to respond within a reasonable time.
