Accessibility

TV Punjab wants everyone to be able to read our reporting and watch our broadcasts, including people with disabilities.

Last updated October 7, 2026 · Ubiq Broadcasting Corp.

Our commitment

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA, across this website. As a British Columbia organization, we support the goals of the Accessible British Columbia Act to identify, remove and prevent barriers.

What we do

  • Text colours meet WCAG AA contrast, and text can be enlarged to 200% with your browser zoom.
  • Every link, button and menu can be reached with the keyboard, with a visible focus outline, and each page has a “skip to content” link.
  • Punjabi text is marked up as Punjabi so screen readers pronounce it correctly.
  • The scrolling news ticker has a pause button, stops when you hover or tab into it, and does not move at all if your device is set to reduce motion.
  • Our live stream does not play automatically and can be paused.
  • Our journalists add alternative text to photos in new stories.

Known limitations

Many older stories and videos do not yet have alternative text or captions, and video is not yet captioned. Third-party content, such as embedded social media posts and the news ticker sourced from Google News, is outside our control. We are working through older material.

Tell us about a barrier

If something on this site is hard to use, email contact@tvpunjab.com or call +1 604 700 4077. Tell us the page and what went wrong. We reply within five business days and can usually provide the content in another format.
